Title The Haunted Palace Spoiler
K-drama curse. Starts strong and fizzles by the end. So the 8ft spirit is the general who amassed the spirits…
Your assumtions were almost correct. Excet Yoongap expeld himself out of his own body in order to not harm the king and become an aqui (evil spirit). Kang Chul did took the flower and drank it as a tea but only after they sended Yoongap to the after life. And his powers do not seem to be back yet. And the end of chapter 14 was brutal and unexpected so yeah...I do not think this is going down....the drama is decently good and it is the first 16 episode drama I have seen in months now....

Actually she was told from the beginning something happened in the woods. She initially thought he mightbave hit his head and have some kind of amnesia, but then Kang Chul did not even try to behave like Young Gap in her presence so as a mom she added up 2 and 2 and understood that something happened to him. Plus there is the look in his eyes. Sungjae's acting in genious. Only from his eyes you can clearly know who he is in a certain time. I think they explained her what happened before the sending off ritual since well she did a farewell ritual. But also I knew she had a soft spot for Kang Chul since he saved her life. When he saved her life she also heared the one that kidnaped her talking to him as if he was not Youngap. She clearly is a smart women and a good mom.

And also the fact that its a saeguk....like back then the females were considered almost not humans unless they were from high class. So tehnically If they were to write all the women as some kind of superwomen they would kind of go outside of the genra. Though I absolutely agree with Yeo Ri being underused. And the queen having no purpose other then making the king cry. It was kind of stupid the fact that they knew Yoonggap was after the stones yet no one tried to check the stones viability before starting the ritual. Everybody was staying chill because they asumed the Queens stone would work.... then what followed was just brutal.

I believe it was told that it was the blind shaman. He told Kang Chul that he was the one that saw him a 100 years ago and that he is not his enemy.

Well I mostely like every kind of genra. But I also like it more when it has fantasy involved in it. I also like historicals wothout fantasy but I might have trouble with extremly large ones. If it is decent paced its a plus. In terms of chinese I find the modern ones ridiculos but sometimes I do watch one tondistress myself after a heavy drama. I watched for example Love between fairy and devil or Miss the dragon as xianxia dramas. I like roamnce and intricate palace stories. And I started to enjoy fighting and bloody scenes. (Sorry if it sounds morbid). I have been in a serious drama slump latley so I take any racomandations that might chance my mood. I also like comedy but in terms of historicals there is not much of it... I am not a picky drama consumer as you can see. 🤗

Why are people so indecise about what they want to see in a drama? if there is no romance "where is the romance" if there is romance "why is there so much uneccesary romance". If it is to funny then its actually goofey and stupid. If it is not funny enough "why is it not funny"? If it is good paced its laking in story....if it is a good story but is too slow paced it is boring.... if there are fight scenes good executed why is there so much blood....if they are poorely executed why do they even exist.... dear people....why don't you just try to write a scenario from your own head and knowledge? Try those fghting scenes yourselfs while dressed in a tight hanbok during summer time.... if you think you can kiss better go show them how its done.... Can you please remember that we are talking about the work of perhaps hundres of people here? I for one find this series extremly funny which I anticipated seeing Lee Yi Kyung and Kwon Na Ra in the cast. Kim Myeong Soo is doing a great job in his fighting scenes. The pace is finally good....the commedy in place. And romance does not always have to be skinship, kissing all the time and having sex. Sometimes it is about how you build the realtionship and the feelings. They really do have a good chemestry despite not haveing skinship scenes. Since the drama is mainly centered on missions it is normal not to have a dragging romance in place. If it was romance but not actions some of you would have complained about that too.... the only thing I agree with the commets that I read is the fact that there was nothing secret about this seceret royal inspector from the beggining. Had it been secret only the king and the one who proposed him would know about his existance. Yet everybody has known since episode one. Everybody is being silly over that title not just him.

It's an OK show. Not great, not bad. Lead actress might be the least attractive lead actress I've seen in a romance…
Funny how in. real life she is actually only a year and a half older then Kim Myeong Soo. She is actually not ugly in real life but production arranged her like that in order to somehow vividly portray the age difference in the show which was supposed to be 8 years if I remember well. Which was also not necesarly since Myeong Soo already looks 10 years younger then he is. Had they left her be herself it would have been much better visualy. I also had a shock as to how she looks like when she is not on those cinderella like clothes.... she really is far from beig ugly.

Not as bad as reviews made it out to be.I think reviewers are biased because it doesn't star super popular actors,…
Kim Myeong Soo is an idol. In Korea and Asia a very known one. And he won precisely a POPULARITY award for this role. But he might not be popular enough on the international market as other kdrama actors. Interesting I read some reviews saying the exact opposite...that the once we rated it higher did it because we were Myeong Soo biased.... 😅. People will always find one reason or another to throw hate. But this drama really does not deserve it. Neather the actors.

I genuinely do not understand it eather....It mish. be because it is so hard to digest or because some people are really not into historicals....or because they lack patience. Which i also do sometimes. And I do not understand the hatetwards Bo Ah. Her acting is so good and their chemestry was so on fire that I even forgot she is 7 years older then him.

Mr Queen was decent compared to others. I had a problem with My Demon's ending thar made absolutely no sense and on top of that half of it was copy pasted from Goblin. I actually watched Mr Queen twice and I kind of liked it.Despure the cringe. At least there was some kind of clousure. There were 2 special episodes after the finale which idk If you watched that explained that Kim Jung Hyun's character was furst in love with the real leady from way before she was possesd by Bongwhan. And Bongwhan had clousure and learen his lesson. At least that was not left in the air. Moon Lovers was left in the air and kind of broke a million hearts. As for this one I do not espect much. A normal real kiss at least. I will be so pissed if Sungjae plays dumb and "I do not know how to kiss" till the end. Is a kiss between 16 year long friend supposed to be this cringe and none kiss?

Since the palace its the one being haunted that would be the least safer place for them to be. Plus sending guards when Kangchul is a god with superpowers? A very silly one i must admit....but makes no sense. Eventually guards for Young Gap's Mothers would be a good idea.

Sungjae and Bona already gave a major spoiler in an interview. Somebody will cross the bridge to the after life. And it is most likely to be Yoon Gap after being saved from the darn 8pt feet ghost. Also the ending was pretty clear from ep 1 with Yeo Ri's vision. I do not think it is going to be an openend finale. Though I would love a season 2 cause I actually like this pair so much. And the bromance between the king and kangchul....

I just finished episode 9 and I am genuinely stuned. I have watched a lot of KDramas a nd a lot of dramas generaly in my life and I don't think I have ever watched such a CRUEL story. Anyway not a story cruel to every single character including the background characters like this one. I am reading through comments that some found it slow paced, or boring....or chemestry lacking....well not for me. I adored the chemestry between the leads. And I genuinely like both their actings. I also like Garam's character , Mujin and somehow I pity him. Up till now it was really good written and executed. Exelent fighting scenes. Many brutal scenes that really need stomac to digest. I know the ending from before starting it. But despite the spoiler I really enjoyed the drama. I have a feeling that the last 2 episodes are going to end me.
