WDBTD was ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥. And the drama that YOUKU aired after that — Love in the Clouds — was also great. It’s one of the rare dramas that gets better as it goes along; such a great chemistry between the leads (people claim this is the best chemistry Neo Hou had with a female lead). And both leads sang OSTs for LitC which makes it even cooler :)

Let’s hope so! At least, the other “demon” drama this year didn’t let us down — When Destiny Brings the Demon. It’s a different genre, but it was very nice and I frankly don’t understand how they got so many intimate scenes past the censors 😆

Yes, I agree with you. I guess, they were maybe trying to set up Season 2 or whatever. But the writing of the drama was so solid up to that point (and originally had HE, supposedly), that it was sad to see them try to change everything on the fly and come up with a justification to do that open ending that made so many people here disappointed.

TDHR also had a bad ending — in a sense that it was very unsatisfying for the fans. It was such a great drama until the last 1-2 episodes when someone (allegedly, iQIYI) decided to scrap planned HE and go with a half-baked open ending that was mostly sad (they could’ve easily done a 30-second scene to make it more optimistic/more open if they left open possibility of travel between their worlds) 😔

I hope this has a much better ending than The Demon Hunter’s Romance. That was such a good drama until the last 1-2 episodes completely ruined it with a meh 🫤 ending.

Another cool thing about Love in the Clouds is that both leads sing on the OST. Neo Hou’s song is particularly great. It’s the main love theme — If Your World Had No Sunshine 🥰❤️‍🔥

Honestly, the 2ML’s brother (emperor) was less problematic than the 2ML and easier to root for. One is just a simple philanderer and wife-stealer while another is committed war crimes, child torture, and shot FL.

I hope the backstory will be told in flashbacks (like in The First Frost).

Ah, I think the comments page has been okay for this drama. It’s nothing compared to things that happen with C-dramas when antis come out in force to try to tank a drama because of some silly reason or — what’s even sillier — when some bored people decide to instigate a clash between fandoms by pretending to be fans of Star A and dissing/downvoting drama of Star B (and the other way around). Someone also mentioned to be instances when people make a bunch of fake accounts to “farm” flowers to vote for their favorite actor/actress. People have way too much free time in their hands, especially since MDL ratings don’t matter — Korean and Chinese platforms use their own metrics and ratings.

This drama definitely gets better as it goes along. I’m on ep. 32 of Fated Hearts and, personally, after the newlyweds eloped it became a lot less interesting. Lead pair in FH = ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥; other character = 🥶 🥶 🥶. I can’t bring myself to care about the 2ML because he’s an absolutely horrible person 🙄 Hopefully, the end will be good to restore my faith in the writers ✍️:)

FL got the divorce paperwork from the ex but didn’t have time to file it with the government office. And it was a good thing because for the contest she had to print out proof of marriage form from the government. FL can’t file divorce paperwork now because of the 3-months waiting period to claim the house. So, she’s a divorce is spirit but legally she’s still married to the ex. I’m sure this will play a big part in this week’s episode(s).

She’s doing a great job with a minor character :)

I’m not sure everyone is dissing it. Maybe it depends on day of the week but generally comments here are pretty supportive of the drama — it’s not super inventive but it’s kind of old-school romcom drama feel. It’s also doing well in Korea (#1 in its timeslot). The ratings hover about 8.0-8.1, but there are many reasons not to rely on MDL ratings as an arbiter of quality. I’ve watched some less popular dramas that were 78-7.9 here but were more like 8.5-9 to me :)

Not sure what you mean. This drama is moving pretty normally compared to other 12-episode dramas. All the action is on the lead couple, second couple, or the ex.

Yes, this drama isn’t featuring anything groundbreaking, but everything is done well and the cast is great. I hope the actress who plays the ex’s sister gets bigger roles because she’s clearly overqualified to be playing small parts :)

Grandma seems like really good person. I hope she survives the betrayal that’s coming.
