I agreed. The first 4 ep could have focus on present time and those school period crush could be done as a flashback…
For me personally the first 4 episodes were more about FL & her relationship with her friends/family as opposed to 2ML. It shows her last semester of university, job search, and how she found a job. Without knowing the whole storyline, I can’t say if there’s a more effective way but it seems okay to me. This is still better than those dramas where 1/2 or 2/3 of episodes are spent on first unsuccessful relationship and then only last 1/2 or 1/3 on reconciliation & second relationship. But this is just my opinion:)
second male lead is obsessed with humbling the fl and it’s so strange I really dislike weak and insecure men…
Even if we are being extremely generous, it seems like he can’t make up his mind between the two girls which is leading to mixed signals & confusion for everyone involved.
props to the actress playing Rong Rong because she is managing to piss me off even more than the novel version…
Haha… College Rong Rong wasn’t horrible, you can realistically see that situation happening given the circumstances. And they seemed to reconcile by the time of graduation. But I can totally see how those wounds would reopen when 2ML will probably try to pursue FL.
I don’t care what anyone says the cousin Jiang Rui, is adorable!!
FL’s cousin is cool and has a great chemistry with FL. But it will probably turn out that he lied to ML in the beginning and now FL is bearing the blame.

They haven’t explained it fully but it’s implied ML has some issue(s) that prevent from him a surgeon (they showed his hand shaking/trembling). Early in Ep. 1 they showed ML agreeing to drive to meet FL — FL’s cousins claimed FL saw ML at an event and been asking about him. But most likely we will find out that FL’s cousin made up that story and FL didn’t ask about ML. But ML probably is unhappy that FL doesn’t recognize him now if she supposedly was into him before the accident.
Watching this drama for a third time and I still can’t understand why Jiang Yang’s potential surgery would impact his ability to run the club day-to-day. It’s on his arm/shoulder so he’s perfectly fine to function as an administrator.
