Thank you! I really liked this drama but the crash thing seemed not so well executed. If they did crash land in Dubai airport, FL wouldn’t need to be rush to Manila airport wondering if ML was alive (she looked super worried). It’d take days for him to get back to Manila after the crash. So in my mind I will just think they crash landed back in Manila and that’s why we saw blue-and-red flashing lights in the background :)

She started to suspect he was a demon after finding out he was the person who saved her from a spear attack in the Carefree Land. Child FL got her powers after child ML’s blood splattered into her left eye so it’s natural to suspect he might be a demon. But that suspicion was confirmed after seeing moon bug bite him nd after seeing his panther shadow.

We don’t know for sure yet.

The way the drama is going so far, I’m not sure how the creators could justify a bad ending. Not that there aren’t C-dramas who ruin things with the last 1-2 episodes but this one has had pretty good writing and a minimal amount of tropes (even the breakup was handled well).

They definitely will have to explain how FL got into that world but it 99.999% involves her being kidnapped (we still don’t know who or why kidnapped her). How FL & ML got back to the mortal realm is pretty clear. ML’s original mission is to guard Carefree Land realm as part of his clan’s duties.

Yeah, it’s an interesting dynamic. Although the ML was the last person to find out he’s a demon. His demon origin became highly likely as soon as they showed child FL obtaining her demon-seeing power by way of child ML’s blood getting into her left eye.

The lore allows certain way(s) to travel even outside of that 12-year period. But it’s more free-for-all during that once-in-12-years event in order to spread demon spirit. That’s why child FL was able to get in (probably) and how child ML & child FL ended up back in the mortal realm.

Drama is very good but it’s not one of those super-romantic dramas with a lot of affection. The leads have very good chemistry though :)

Have you watched SZE in Legally Romance? It’s way better than To Fly with You (well… first half is better, at least, still watching it).

It’s pretty clear why his brother is forcing him — brother wants ML to return back to Carefree Land. What is not really clear yet is whether the brother is good or bad.

I haven’t watched Section E but here FL finds ML annoying in the beginning. So there’s a little bit of that “enemies-to-lovers” vibe but also you can think of it as a regular guy winning over a princess (ending theme song is “Prinsesa” by Kenaniah). Anything else may be a spoiler :)

Author of “Love Me, Love My Voice” and “Amidst a Snowstorm of Love” has another drama, “Road Home” — I would not recommend it. It has a good cast but it’s a bit boring (and I’m a fan of slow burn dramas). Felt like a less exciting version of “Fireworks of My Heart”.

My personal favorite costume drama is probably “Are You the One” and it has what might be my favorite FL is ANY drama (C/K/J/Th/Ph). Love that character ❤️ and the way FL & ML are perfect for each other is so good. That’s why I’m a little scared to start watching “Si Jin” (ML is the same) 😳

It’s on my to-watch list but thank you for the recommendation. Will move it up on the priority list :) P.S. Just now realized that FL in that drama was FL in Lighter & Princess. People look so different in costume dramas 😁

Assuming that ML was the child who helped child FL, they both jumped off a cliff in Carefree Place and — somehow — ended up in our world. Presumably, FL’s dad rescued her and ML’s family rescued him (and tattooed that protection bracelet to hide his identity).

Have you watched “My Boss” (2024)? It stars FL from TFF (Zhang Ruo Nan) and is also a bit underrated. The premise is pretty common but the cast is very good, it’s very easy & pleasant, and it gets better as it goes along (36 episodes but I wished for more which happens very infrequently with C-dramas)… or maybe I liked it so much because I watched it right after “I Hear You” (not a good show despite having Zhao Lu Si), 😂

Romance and chemistry are very good in Best Choice Ever. It’s one of those dramas where they start of a bit adversarial (not real enemies or anything) but grow to appreciate & love one another. The lower than expected ratings seem to be from people who dislike the mother and her meddling.

Haha… I really liked Best Choice Ever (have a soft spot for the leads) but had to skip/FF through some scenes because FL’s mom was so extra. In Fireworks, the mom is a cliched rich parent who totally controls their kids, but intensity is turned up to 11. If this were a K-drama, we would be hoping for mom to meet a white truck of doom 😈 💀
