Some important unanswered questions so far (in spoiler tag ⬇️). Please add anything else that I forgot.

The sword is a special weapon of their clan (sect?). The “uncle” was a disciple of the clan so he would have known about the weapon Now, how he could’ve created such a complex weapon, that’s a good question. But definitely “uncle” is very shady and his story about why he was banished from the sect could be a lie.

Haha… you don’t want to skip too much the first time around because you might miss exactly all the different things FL’s family (esp. her mom) are responsible for when it comes to… uh, certain important characters 🤫Scenes with brother are more skippable because they have to do with his evolution. But — seriously — FL’s mom here was probably my least favorite C-drama mom until I watched The First Frost (what mom in TFF did was so bad…).

Fireworks is good, ending is “good sleep”, and chemistry between the leads is ❤️‍🔥 (Wang Chu Ran was in my favorite Are You the One). FL has a tyrannical mom (not my favorite drama trope), so right now I’m rewatching while skipping some of those scenes and skipping some other scenes with non-leads. But the fire and various rescue scenes (no spoilers) are very impressive. Also has good personal growth, especially on FL’s side. Really good soundtrack too :)

Fair point, ML & his bro are demon princes (?) so they might be more powerful. The kids playing along the road whom ML’s bro saw were probably demons and he saw them fine (we saw 1 or 2 of those kids early on). You are an expert in fantasy C-drama lore :)

I see you are watching Amidst a Snowstorm of Love. Good show (just like Love Me, Love My Voice). The same author has another drama (Road Home) but I’d skip it — it wasn’t as good as the other two, kind of a less exciting version of Fireworks of My Heart (even though I don’t like FL’s family drama in FOMH). it sure if you’ve watched You Are My Glory (sorry if I didn’t scroll down far enough on your list) but that one is also nice and eventually shows very mature relationship between the leads; it’s a better version of Here We Meet Again, even though HWMA came out later 😆

Ah, you have a much better memory. Owl 🦉 and fox 🦊 . But if FL’s mom is a demon, why would ML’s blood allow her to see demons 🤔 Although, this is all hypothetical because we don’t know the lore and the rules of that world :)

Hmm… there’s definitely something suspicious about the “uncle”. I didn’t think about FL’s mom being that demon — I kind of thought that perhaps it was the same demon who married FL’s cousin & they killed.

Looking at your list, looks like we have a similar taste and you’ve seen almost everything that I could recommend. Someone here suggested “Meeting You” (2020) — I hadn’t heard of it but it turned out to be a true gem (I gave it 10/10 and I’m very stingy with 10s). For a realistic adult romance drama, have you watched Fake It Till You Make It? The name is kind of silly but it’s so, so good and has compelling stories not just for leads but also for FL’s sister and some other side characters (the drama is also only 14 episodes long so it doesn’t get boring).

Someone was trying to kill her when she was there as a child (and ML saved her). So maybe they will try to kill her again and the show will tell us why someone was trying to kill her in the past too? So far, we’ve seen that white crow means death within a day or so. Guess we will find out soon.

Yeah, I see your point. But her husband’s family will gladly forgive him because they got a house out of it ;) … BTW, did The Long Ballad have a good ending? There are so many “ballads”, I get lost sometimes.

On a subject of endings, I find it so frustrating when writers try to over complicate things at the end with various bad tropes (had to give The Autumn Ballad a slightly lower rating because of the last episode). Was super happy with the last two episodes of The First Frost; they we one of the most satisfying conclusions ever :)

Ah, I see. Thank you for the explanation. Maybe that’s why I don’t have any of his dramas on my to-watch list. Only watched one drama with Song Zu Er (To Fly with You) and no idea how it got rated so highly on MDL (8.4). Maybe people were nicer in 2021 compared to now when anything over 8.0 is an achievement :)

Also came here after putting Eat Run Love on hold (waiting for it to finish). If you want a great historical C-drama without any nonsense, check out Are You the One (very smart characters who behave rationally). I noticed you are watching Amidst a Snowstorm of Love — check out Love Me, Love My Voice (novel by same author). Both are nice and easy to watch slow burn dramas. Most everyone here on MDL likes The First Frost and The Best Thing. TFF is probably a bit better than TBT. Also, if you haven’t watched it, I’d recommend When I Fly Towards You (same author as Hidden Love and The First Frost, but short and easier to watch) and Fake It Till You Make It (also a relatively short modern drama).

Most people think bro will turn out to be a good person. There seems to be some sort of a bad event approaching (bro mentioned it) so maybe the white crow is related to that.
