I think there’s certainly a good deal of respect that he has for her. She’s not a spoiled chaebol heiress, but actually is a very capable person who doesn’t like the class system.

IU is definitely not dubbed. Her voice seems normal but I haven’t compared it that closely with prior dramas.

Ignore the haters. And, really, if a drama were super bad te rating would be much worse than 8.3. Usually new dramas get dragged down by haters even lower (sometimes 7.x) before slowly recovering.

ML doesn’t seem like a person who has security with him at all times. So FL figured out his favorite places (through her employee who contacted various people) and showed up there. She’s a chaebol so she has access to all the same private clubs / restaurants / etc. that he has access to.
Abd, of course, we have to remember it’s a romcom, so certain things we have to let slide (like the movie theater scene 🍿) 😁

Yeah, let’s ignore the haters. It’s a fun watch and “alternate timeline” isn’t even that outrageous — it’s basically British Royal Family in function.

IU is so nice in real life, it’s fun to see her play leads like this. And monarchy makes more sense than I thought — it’s basically how British royals are right now.

Subway product placement is a fan service for Hotel del Luna fan, lol… They even made fun of it a bit when FL said the cafe (Subway) should’ve paid for PR :)

Royals don’t have anything to do except obsess over status, so she naturally wants her son to be viewed more favorably than anyone else. But, of course, it’s not reasonable to ask a little kid to handle all those ceremonial duties.

Two episodes per week is standard for K-dramas (10-16 episodes overall). There are some daily dramas that air more frequently and have 40-50 episodes, but those are usually less prestigious.

Where’s all the hate — on IG/social media? Maybe I have those accounts blocked because I haven’t found too much when scrolling through the comments.
But, at this point, it’s inevitable that ANY drama will have haters coming out in droves. On MDL early on those haters/antis love to write fake reviews and give low ratings to try to reduce popularity. if viewership ratings are bad, they rejoice. If viewership ratings are good — haters claim it’s made up by platforms. It’s a small miracle Pursuit of Jade managed to maintain 9.2 rating for almost entire airing time until it dropped to 9.1 after last 10 episodes were leaked and comments/ratings were flooded with bots/haters/antis or people who watched episodes with horrible machine generated subtitles which made no sense

We’ll see how they deal with it. So far, 2ML is pretty nice and not annoying. But he has power over monarchy so he may decide to be bad. But, also, he’s friends with both of them so maybe he’ll step aside.

Those scenes were actually pretty nice; I’d not skip them, but it’s a personal preference.

I don’t want anything between them either. And honestly I don’t think she’d been interested in him anyway. She’s clearly obsessed with status so she would always wanted to marry crown prince

First two episodes were very good but you can always end until the end of the series and then check out full reviews. Like others said, 8.3 is pretty normal to start (MDL has a glitch with early reviews and also early on is when dramas get hammered by haters/trolls); many dramas even drop below 8 before slowly recovering. There’s no way 9.7 is even remotely possible. The top drama on MDL has 9.3 rating (it was 9.4 for a very long time before dropping); there’s one 9.2 drama and a small number of 9.1 dramas.

First two episodes were pretty light, but this is a K-drama so I’m sure there will be an episode or two towards the end where the leads will go through something hard.

We don’t know for sure yet. It could be Queen Mother or simply no one in particular. The event was held at that hotel so it’s possible that paparazzi were there and made up a story.

I see your point but, at least, to be compared to IU is a huge compliment to anyone. But BIBI has some lighter songs for sure, very talented 🥰😎

They need to find him a good woman — definitely not Queen Mother. For now the couples are FL+ML and probably their assistants.
