I was surprised how mature they were as individual and couple. Which make sense since they are 24 (f) and 30 (m) in the series. I love how the conversation between them flows, as if it came from a very natural place. I loved how they cared for each other, showing sometimes love does not need big and loud gestures. They are among my fav couples lol.

If what is circulating around his death is true, then Cdrama industry must be the most hypocritical among all of entertainment industry. Actors and other celebrities get cancelled for the wrong word, a manageable scandal, and have to appear to be the perfect angel who doesn't know how to poop when they are one camera. And this one actor died in the most horrible way, and instead, everybody seems to be covering for it?
And this made me think that we absolutely have no idea of the real life our favorite actors are living, how much of their image representation is fake, and what is really happening behind the scene. I can't shake the feeling that this glamorous icing is covering a cake made of total sh***t.
And I am surprised that I have not even seen the news of him passing in MDL. I think that is the minimum to do, to just announce his death.

I get he is into her. He has noticed her way before meeting her at the tragic events in the church. When she was still a diplomate and giving a speech, she somehow caught his attention. He saved her life at the church when he had no reason too, followed her afterwards, gathered Intel about her and made sure she was safe, even before they proposed him the contract to protect her, and he choose to stay and not go to NK mostly for her than for the contract. And the way he is behaving with her is too concerning, gentle and caring for a simple bodyguard. And his hands? He refuses to keep them to himself.

I get at this point she is interested in him. The man has been her her best ally so far, even when she can't trust him completely. He has been protecting her, so she may see him like a kind of anchor. And even if he is lethal to his enemy, he is gentle and supportive with her. They have been through a lot, the man is kinda hot, and tension sparked.
BUT. I was still not ready for the kiss lol. It make sense that whatever they are going to battle against tomorrow, they chose to take a pause tonight. But my body was certainly not ready for this lol.

My theory is that he liked her even before the events leading to their meeting in ep1, about the time she was still a diplomate in the SK president party. He might have fell for her when he saw her speech in TV.

Well if my world is ending and I am sitting next to my crush....I ll jump the man too. And I am sure the second kissing was for him to keep her thoughts away from the news of breaking war too. In EP 1 ( or 2) he made something similar when he was helping her escaping the woods from the men who were following her. He told her to look at him, close her eyes, and take a breath. Well the man seems to be real dedicated to his work, protecting the client, mind, body and soul.

There are indeed better way they could have handled the last eps of the drama. They wanted him to go back to his country, to have her following him so they could bond here, then have her returned in her own country, and give them both new identities so their romance could not have been an hindrance to both country. That, among other endings they could have given the series, was the direction they choose. Now the subplots they choose to make it happens, wether it was convenient informations placed just there so an action could happen, or irrational choices they gave some characters to push forward the story is what made the direction seems weak. It is not about what I would have preferred to see them do for the ending ( if it was about that, the ending would not have been my only complain), but more about polishing their direction enough to give the serie a smooth landing.

I actually agree with Knavery there. Your explanation described the situation well, but the plot still show the inconsitence. It was dumb to make the ministers react this way, when they lost twice when treating with Yap empire in the last episodes. They attacked once ( for a very weak reason to make the FL go to ML s territory) and lost, then they sent the peace envoy with FL s father, then lost a great general again. Making the ministers forcing death on FL did not make any sense.
And even if they did have valid reasons to lynch her, ML did not have any to invade her country to retriever body the way he did. The gesture was grand, yes, but the consequences were too big. The plot made its plotting the wrong way.

Personality, I agree with you, minus the Ryan Cheb part. It's like a dish prepared with prenium ingredients and kitchen tools, following an original and promising recipe, but in the hands of an average or amateur cook.

I get you. Started off so good and different, but after some more episodes, I did not know what to think of the serie. But still, the visuals and acting are doing great, so I might lurk by to see how they will wrap it up.

I have not watched 4 yet, but yes, I think putting it that way makes those interactions more normals , and if her dishes can bring people to their happy places, his is surely about spending time with his mom when he was young.

I am sure they don't want it to be anything bad. I pointed it out because L dramas when dealing with posttraumatic events, tend to be a little dramatic, specially when they are dealing with ML s (rain phobia, memory loss after an abusive childhood, and other weird trauma triggers). This one threw me off. But yes, he does seems to love how her food makes him feel like a kid again, back in days where things were great for him. I get the good intentions , but I really wish to not see another spoon-feeding again😭

It may be me, but personally, having a hot guy seeing flashes of his mom in me is kind of a turn off for me.

Personality, while a lot of people are saying the find ML bland or boring, I totally love his character. He is sneak as hell, say little with his mouth, but a lot with his face. He is full of emotions inside, but keep them on a very calm surface. And he do seems like he is introverted too. I will take that over our typical ML anytime
