I too miss watching him on set. It has been many months without him filming. Though I am happy seeing him actively participating in music festivals, opening his personal art centre etc but I really want him to film (me being selfish 😂).
Either he is purposely taking a long break or from what I observe he is getting thinner again so I am assuming whether he is preparing for his next role (maybe for that Tang Dynasty epic), not sure though. Yes, we want our big brother back on the set.

For the heat index it's understandable because first of all, it's not romance based and then the views get split because it's released in two platforms.
Most of the times RJL's dramas are not given high promotion or they are just airdropped so this treatment is quite understandable too. But I do feel this has the potential to be one of the best xianxia because of it's writing, directing and the theme.
If the drama truly stays consistent this will surely get good views at least in the future (most of the RJL's dramas are like this they really have good long tail effect). Thanks for giving such a detailed info 😊.
Episode 15 & 16:The scenes of Su Taiyi giving medicine, money and house all over the place for his shifu had…
Yes, I love how Lu Qian Qiao and Xin Mei become ferocious and ruthless when they see any injustice. I really enjoy to see them being badass. I am waiting for them to be a power couple but at the same time I don't know how are they going to solve those things between them.
Also it's nice to see how LQQ is showing more emotions than before as he proceeds with the transformation. Now he is becoming more like a human.
Do you really think that a being who hasn’t slept for 200 years, for whom food tastes like rotting flesh, who…
So what I was thinking is becoming human was just a trial he was going through in order to be a perfect war demon without any curses. This is what I was assuming from the start but yeah now I am a bit confused. If he gains his powers back I think he has not completely transformed into human but again don't know how it is. As you said let's see how the plot unfolds and I hope it will be logical and surprising.

Ohh ok this is why his only aim is to become a human. His mother is quite interesting character then. I hope we get a nice backstory about him in the drama.

Ok, that means his intention is just to be a human. As in iqiyi's synopsis it was mentioned to preserve the bloodline of ghost clan... so I thought it was like that. Now when l reread the introduction I understood. Since heavenly ladder is broken and jianmu tree is not grown completely, war demons can't see gods and get rid of their curses so LQQ choose another way that is to become human in order to get rid of those curses. This is what you meant right?
That means once he transforms into human he will naturally loose all his powers right? But if he looses his powers how can he save the world like just in case if he was born on September 9th?

In the drama's plot it was clearly mentioned that Lu Qian Qiao undergoes this trial inorder to preserve the bloodline of ghost clan. Also if you have read the novel, was his sole intention of undergoing this trial is to become human?
Why would someone want to change bone, change blood and become human only to become weaker? How would he be able…
He wants to become human so that he can go to heaven and see gods and can end his clan's suffering. As heavenly ladder is broken and the jianmu tree is not fully grown, he has to choose this path. It was clearly explained in the introduction part of first episode.
I’m not one of his haters. But instead of acting in costume/xianxia dramas every year over and over again, wouldn’t…
I don't think he has done same type of roles. I think you have watched same genre so you might feel like that. He has done CEO type (Miss Crow with Mr Lizard), contemporary romance (Forever and Ever), costume romance (One and Only), urban slice of life (Twilight), political drama (Love of Nirvana), firefighter kind(Blue flame assault) etc. Maybe you can try the ones which you haven't watched and that time your impression might change.
There is rumour that his next project might be Tang Dynasty Epic which is a serious historical drama where he would be playing the role of adult version of Li Shimin (Emperor). I also read that the producer is visiting sets. He has not confirmed nor there is any official announcement so just take this as a pinch of salt.
Just wanted to give a clarification that this drama wasn't the one he selected. This is one of his contract ending…
He left HR in 2024. This was shot in 2024-25. Yeah the cast looks amazing plus we have amazing director as well as screenwriter so I am hoping for the best.

Yeah I genuinely hope it's not. If it is, atleast he should act in serious historical dramas. Costume genre is his genre. He literally is made for that. Excited to see what projects he might pick. Let's see.
If Allen Ren is in it, then it's not a Romance drama....just sayin'. lol
Just wanted to give a clarification that this drama wasn't the one he selected. This is one of his contract ending dramas so he has to compulsorily do that. So after finishing this he is completely free from his agency. After The Blue Whisper he has been taking scripts where romance is a subplot and main focus is on plot like Love of Nirvana, burning flames etc.
From what I saw he is taking serious dramas since he came out. He did Silent Tides, republican drama and then he shot Abyss which is crime thriller. Next his rumoured project is going to be a serious historical one too. So I think he is not gonna act in romance dramas in future and yeah this might be his last xianxia.
