I haven't watched WDBtD but yes I have heard so many raves about this drama especially for the chemistry between the leads. Happy that it didn't let you down and you enjoyed it.

For me I consider it as open ending because we do have hope that they will meet after 12 years. But yes that whole ending was unnecessary and l am still mad at iqiyi for spoiling such a good drama. If not for that ending this drama is absolutely perfect in each and every aspect.

Ren Jialun's dramas like One and Only, Love of Nirvana, The Glory of Tang Dynasty and Autumn Cicada have sad endings except that you are free to watch other dramas.

Not sure how this will end. I think you should better wait until all episodes are out if you mind sad ending. But I do have the feeling that this might have HE.

I just completed watching this yesterday. From the start to the end it was amazing. At first when l read the plot l felt l should watch this and what made me exactly to watch this is ML support for FL despite of everything that happened.

What l loved the most is this drama was very realistic like for example how people's reaction towards victim and blaming victim for what had happened or how when you read negative comments you feel like you have done wrong though you haven't etc.

My favourite part is the bonding between Qin Nan and Yei Sibei. The way he stood for her is really inspiring. I liked how every character in this drama had character development. The story was carried very well. I could seriously feel what she was going through while watching her journey.

A big shout out to Mao Xiaotong. She nailed her role. Her acting was realistic and it wasn't over the top. Also Zhang Bin Bin was amazing as always. I was happy to see him doing serious roles. Overall, if people want to see something realistic then this is a must watch.

Same here. I hope it's like TDHR with various arcs. I just love when both ML and FL solve problems together also them being like a power couple. Let's hope for the best.

As you watch you will get to know why he did that. He basically did that for greater good ( as that couple was ready to sacrifice for this). Even I didn't like ML before but once l got to know about his complex background l understood why he was like that.

Romance is subplot here since this is a political drama. But l personally loved their chemistry. If you want lots of skinships then this might not be for you. But if you love the subtle romance then yes this is for you.

Same here 😊. Love his unique selection of scripts. He never disappoints me. Also love the fact how dedicated he is for his roles. He always gives his 100% for his role and that is why we get such good dramas from him.
