Yes, I don't take the ending of TDHR. It was a forced, sad yet open ending that iqiyi brought it. Actually script writer wrote happy ending to that drama and for me that is the ending not the one in drama. TDHR is one of my favourites too❤️.

I recently started watching TBW( I wanted to watch this long back but wasn't in the mood to watch xianxia but finally decided to watch)and starting 12 episodes I felt bored. I thought I would drop it but still I continued watching because I have faith in RJL's script choices ( because they are always best). After 12 episodes the story starts getting some momentum and now I am really hooked into it. I am about to finish part 1 and the angst is so good here. I am eager to watch part 2 of this because it's more angsty yet l have read that they resolve this in a good way. So maybe you can try watching it again.

If you want his best script drama and don't mind sad ending then l ask you to watch Love of Nirvana ( historical political drama where romance is subplot) and One and Only (historical romance and it has sequel called Forever and Ever which is a modern HE drama though).

Love of Nirvana is a best drama that has really good and brilliant script. All the leads are brilliant and always scheming against each other. It's a heavy drama but there is a bit of romance that is perfectly placed so the drama is very well balanced. There are so many hidden details which makes it even more interesting to watch. One and Only is a historical romance and l just love this drama because the story, directing, cinematography everything is just perfect for me. Actors made this simple story to a beautiful heart wrenching one.

So if you want best drama of Ren Jialun then you have to watch One and Only and Love of Nirvana.I really love his script choices because they are always thought provoking and have lots of details in it.

But his upcoming dramas like Love and Crown and Fate Chooses You are his contract ending dramas so naturally they weren't choosen by RJL, he was forced to act there. So don't know how the story will be so l am not expecting anything from those. But his upcoming republican drama Silent Tides was his choice drama and it is directed by award winning director so l really look forward to that.

Then you can watch Under the Power (historical detective drama) and The Blue Whisper (fantasy). Both have happy ending.

That is just wrong about people telling RJL'S dramas have sad ending because his many dramas have happy ending like

I think his sad ending dramas are quite popular so they think it like that. But the fact is he has many dramas of HE than SE.

I don't know how will be the ending (since l have not read the novel) but the screenwriter of this drama confirmed that this has a Happy Ending.

Actually his character is like that very boring, socially awkward and shy. He is not charismatic ML. You can see Ren Jialun's amazing acting skills since even l was like how boring he is at the beginning but later on you can see how good and cute 🥰. Don't worry later he falls for her harder. He is one of my favourite fictional cdrama ML.

ML missing her badly was because they are soulmates. Since they knew each other in their past life and loved each other, now in their present life though they don't remember their past they really feel for each other and that is why FL on the first episode runs and goes and meets ML ( she herself don't know why she did that). Otherwise this scene would have been strange.

But recently Tales of the Dark River started their pre broadcast investment promotion so there is a hope that it might release soon. Also there is Youku conference on 8th so that time trailer might be released.

Yes, l don't think they would release L&C soon. I was just expecting it would be released after WDBD. Other dramas like Tales of the Dark River etc might be released. So l hope that some day it might come out thats it.

It was perfect if they could have released L&C after WDBD i.e, after a xianxia a historical drama. Don't know whats on youku's mind.

There is Youku conference on 8 th. Not sure whether we can get some materials with respect to this drama. I hope we get something so that we can hope it would be released this year. If not l will just stop expecting this will get released.
