I know right! Especially because I have to watch each episode at least twice! Once to understand the plot and once to admire his acting & face! 🤣😭I’m cramping watching him all over my schedule and I haven’t even finished playing his songs on repeat and watching reaction videos praising his singing.

Personally, I think his acting is top notch, so I think all the work he has been in is good, (although in early works you can see his acting hasn’t matured yet) you can see that all of his characters are unique and you won’t confuse them with each other. I went down that rabbit hole and watched everything already, that’s why I have high regards for his acting, it shows that he had deliberations for the character design and even the small details. So if you want drama recommendations for him it really depends on what genre & character you want to watch. - Love in the Clouds (Mysterious, Alluring, Romance, Fantasy. Steamy & Lovebrained ML) - Back from the Brink (Fantasy, Pure Kindness & overcoming Trauma, Cool/Aloof not many words ML) - Fangs of Fortune (Fantasy, Mystery, Deep Story that makes you want to rewatch to see details, Groupwork Ambiance, good looking cast, Sarcasm, humoric/sunshine depression ML) arguably popular choice of impressive character design for HMH - Dashing youth (wuxia/martial arts, story about youth, courage, energetic pure sincere sunshine ML) - I am nobody (very unique plot, based on popular chinese manga, Crazy unhinged funny, Taoist Lazy philosophical comical super strong character) (also notably his unique character design that garnered him many Male Fans - When we were young (highschool life, insipiring, how can this person exist in real life 😭🥹 MC) if you get past that, you’d probably watch everything else he’s in. and listen to all of his OSTs and songs.

What I heard was YZ’s company and HeSong had a mutual collaboration agreement, that’s why their actors had been working together, like Xukai & Zhouye. But YZ admitted that he had adored and been friends in private with NZ for a long while now. He also mentioned that she’s actually a good actor & just hasn’t gotten the right script. Sounds to me he is biased towards her, c-kiwis has been calling him out for that because the production kept making it seem like the FL is more favorable (they messed up the billing order and made the first teaser trailer feature the FL more). On the bright note, YZ has been praising HMH a lot too. Saying his acting is on a different caliber from others, sings really well, very hardworking (sacrificed sleeping for dubbing). I just hope it’s genuine.

they’re not competing, the atmosphere in the music show is really good because they appreciate different interpretations of different artists. yes they are a bit competitive in trying to get the song they like, and for their own professional development, they do their best to sing the best they can. they do realise different artists, different genres and styles of singing have their own fanbase and niches. Joker Xue also greatly complemented Xiao Hou on his singing and talent (saying he was a great actor and great at singing and not many can do that) also he did complain about how difficult the song is because of the range (very low to very high notes) and needless to say, HMH went up and made the song harder. Update: a blogger wrote xiao hou sang this song spanning 33 keys!!

(for example when LYN vs ZS sometimes i like LYN’s version, sometimes i like ZS’s). even though i currently really like HMH, (hope i’m not too biased about this) i personally like HMH’s version for this song. it’s very pure and strong. So to each their own, whoever’s version you like, HMH did super well and I’m so proud of him for taking on his first music variety show. i hope he can be more comfortable and show more of his personality next time.. (and looking forward to more interactions with other artists). Thank you LYN and Joker Xue for greatly complementing HMH. and thank you for all the other artist who helped him in that episode.
