I am happy our MVP No Eul and the baby survived I was really rooting for them π but this season lacked intelligence…
As for Jun Ho.. I understand he had no backup from the police forces. But as a Violent crimes squad detective he should've been more perceptive lol he's incomparable to his season 1 version π and all of it just for him to shout hyeong wae once again and nothing π
I am happy our MVP No Eul and the baby survived I was really rooting for them π but this season lacked intelligence…
I really wasn't bothered with the ending. I never expected that years long, billionaire-funded events guarded by fully armed mercenaries would actually be destroyed by two men and a couple of loan sharks without the slightest police or army backup. Them managing to move the games away from Korea at least is huge. I didn't even mind Gi Hun dying, it was kinda symbolic and honestly a consequence of their dumb choices during the last episodes. I loved that the baby won because I couldn't stand the thought of her dying and it was karmic for the father. What I did mind was Gi Hun strangling Dae Ho and not even thinking of killing any of the bad guys like player 100 who were actually actively trying to eliminate them all along (I'm talking about the Starry night game when he went full beast mode before regaining his humanity lol). What I did mind was Hyun Ju not closing the door behind her or at least entering the room when she went to deliver the good news about the exit (yes I know she's human and was probably excited and hopeful and the ganes are stressful but they were stressful from the very beginning and she literally was in an open fire like 24 hours prior). What I did mind was the Hwang In Ho revelation scene, I thought it was weak in terms of reaction. And lastly, what I did mind was pretty much every moment of their last game where 456 and 333 stupidly got rid of everyone before the last round so they had no one left to kill but each other or themselves. I thought it would be interesting to see what would happen if multiple players made it through the last round. Would it really be allowed for more than one person to win the Games? Did it really happen before? Or would they just randomly shoot everyone? I didn't really mind them not pressing the button in the last round because it was obvious that they wouldn't because of all the haste. Anyway, once again I'm really happy for the baby π₯πΌ
I think it was a mistake to make this an eight 40-mins episodes series (credits take up a lot of time that could've been used in my opinion) Haven't read the webtoon so far but I could tell huge parts of the story were missing. At some point I felt like I'd skipped an episode or something because things felt unclear. We also barely got 2 minutes of backstories and also that behind the scenes thing in the end. It lacked brutal and infuriating moments season 1 had. More seasons or at least 16-ep format would benefit it for sure because the actors are good and bring a huge potential to the series
I am happy our MVP No Eul and the baby survived I was really rooting for them π but this season lacked intelligence seriously like wtf were those decisions
honestly I thought Gi Hun would have aversion to number 001 considering what happened last time π he warmed up to him way too fast. I liked the season until the last episode.. it felt out of character for him to sacrifice weaker players (mostly women and elderly people) who also just wanted to leave the game just for their plan (quite risky and not very well thought out) to work. Great actors! The script had some flaws. Season 1 is still superior but I think everyone expected that anyways
This is like The Penthouse of police kdramas lol everyone's pissing you off but you just have to watch to find…
jokes aside, I did enjoy watching the drama and its message was clear. The cases were dark and gritty (I mean if those scenes weren't blurred out it would be HELLA dark) and those situations with children were quite uncomfortable to watch. The cases themselves didn't have any plot holes and I liked that because it can be a nuisance and ruin overall drama impression. The frustrating thing here is pretty much everyone's personality lol but I figured that's the major point of this drama. It's been mentioned multiple times that everyone has their own goals and motivation and they were obviously not afraid to have 62727 people killed for them to be reached. That ego thingy was also the reason their communication was almost non existent, apart from everyone having sh*tload of secrets. Here are the most frustrating points for me. First and foremost, the opening scene. Like.. you coldly ignore your deaf mother and five seconds later she just.. dies? Wth was that? And her cold behaviour was never explained unless I missed something? I was so pissed I almost switched to another drama this was such a dumb way to die. Then, at episode 4 everyone basically let that profiler die? I understand they came there with mere assumptions but the moment those messages appeared on the screen things were very clear.. After that, in the last couple of episodes they continuously LET THE DAMN CULPRIT LEAVE unscathed and failed to apprehend him which resulted in xy more dead people due to (again) their ego slash fear thingy. Last but not least, my mind CANNOT comprehend how the hell could they just discard the fact that the mass murderer is walking among them, breathing the same air, in the same rooms of the same beloved organization every day, VERY MUCH ALIVE, posing the threat both to the regular people and the police (they really overdid it with that sacred organization thingy) I think that was the moment I realized I've been watching The Penthouse Police Edition lol. Anyway, I think this is actually a decent thriller about deeply deeply flawed people.
I watched 7 episodes, liking it so far. The fl though was a miscast. She speaks so elegantly not how you'd expect…
I noticed the same thing about the fl. She both looks and speaks too refined considering her life circumstances. She was rougher as a child and her life hadn't gotten any easier since then
Mmmmmkay I will make a list of some things I believe remained unaddressed on purpose or because of bad writing? The…
Can you remember if Ina ever assumed the killer's gender based solely on crime scenes, not her unreliable memory? In many dramas profilers usually do that and I don't remember anyone here ever assuming the killer was female
I think the "man" was just so the audience doesn't figure out it was female killer, I don't mind this personally
yeah, I figured he must be just some random person passing. Ina's not a reliable narrator because of her memory problems. I don't mind them misleading us for the purpose of shock and mistery (they did that a lot in Mouse) but in these cases I feel it would be better for the truth to be shown to the audience in the end. It's just satisfactory to watch and the story feels more complete
Okay, here's my two cents: First of all, I would like to praise the production. The visual effects, Ina's outfits, often usage of different nail polishes - everything was on point (to avoid saying on fire in this moment π ). Music was wonderful for the theme! The tone of this show isn't as dark and gritty as some other thrillers (imo Mouse and Signal were much darker) even though we had completely uncensored scenes of the chopped body and a man sprawled on the pavement. This drama had more of a noir artsy vibe and I appreciate it. I hated the thought of Hansaem or Ina being the killer just for the sake of it being shocking. Either of them being the killer made zero sense to me and I don't know how they would've explained it at all. Plus, we've had way too many dramas with main lead killer trope. Her backstory was logical and fitting and her death was heartbreaking considering she chose to go the same way her mother died, at the place she lost her and she saved the most painful death for herself. Here are some thoughts: 1)I honestly think we needed one more episode. In my opinion, a few things were left unfolding behind the scenes that shouldn't have. First of all, I would've liked to see the moment Park Gyu Young's character got lost at the amusement park. How did she separate from her mom and how did she end up living in the orphanage? Then, when it comes to all the killings. I don't think we needed to see all of them happening on screen. BUT, I think we should've seen deaths of that journalist and Ina's uncle simply because we've already seen them from Ina's perspective and wrongfully been lead to believe they were committed by a man. I think those two specific murders should've been clarified to the audience. Was the man entering the building just a random passerby? He seemed too tall and wide to be Park Gyu Young in disguise π Also Ina's parents. As I assumed, after her conversation about them with Oh Cheol Jin she investigated behind the scenes and just randomly spit out that they owned some parcels on that market whatsoever. I wish we got some info about them and their deal in the whole story, including their deaths. 2)Now we can assume that the boy with darkness in his eyes was just a random young patient of Hwang In Chan π 3)A lot of people noticed the excessive usage of colour red and assumed it had some meaning. Thinking of it now it probably represents blood and is there simply for aesthetic reasons. 4)I'm really glad that they adressed Hansaem's mother living in The One City but I can't believe she didn't ask him that in the first episode ππI really enjoyed the series but I think the last two episodes were a bit rushed, which was kinda expected because we all had a lot of questions
I had a dream last night where they wrapped this up with Hansaem being the killer and Ina somehow existing only in his mind and I was so RELIEVED when I woke up π
I am halfway through 1st episode is there a reason why she's such a bitch?? I mean if it's a spoiler ? Some trauma…
she loses part of her memory due to trauma and is kinda stuck with a teenage girl behaviour. There is the thing with her parents which won't be explained until the last episode I guess that's it. She gets nicer later
