sometimes I don't understand MDL ratings Good dramas always receive a low rating
I noticed this pattern with dramas that came out more recently (mid 2024 - 2025) I believe this drama would receive at least 8.5 had it aired a few years ago, since it's VERY high quality drama and main actors are very popular. These days many thrillers get a lot of 1 star ratings during the first airing week.. I wonder what's happening
One thing that makes this drama outstanding to me (among others) is the fact that I cannot tell if we, as audience, are also being manipulated by Baek Ah Jin all the time.
Also one of the rare dramas where the person with a mental disorder doesn't look like a caricature. Cast and crew deserve all the awards.

actually this drama is exactly what I expected it to be from the start - a mix of basic kdrama plots with cartoonish visual effects to watch when you just want to chill and not think too much. It just feels weird when you compare it to authors' previous works 😵💫 only at episode 4 and I don't know much about Iblis and Azrael in religious context but so far it does seem a bit unserious and cartoonish (coming from a non Muslim)

Thank you. Watching this I feel so grateful I don't have people like this around now in my late 20s. Sadly, situations like these occur too often in real life. It's great to be empathetic and understanding but it doesn't mean everything should be justified. Everyone suffers in some way in life but also everyone chooses their own actions. May people heal and surround themselves with those who love them truly 🌺
Did Mrs. Yang survived in the webtoon? She was my fave character in the drama.
yes, they were in an accident with their truck and it exploded (just like gwan seok in the drama) but she is shown in the end with bad burns all over her face and body. actually when I think about it we didn't really see most of the characters' death in the drama because they were most likely leaving it open for season 2
hm.. I wish they kept Mrs Yang's webtoon ending. actually the entirety of webtoon's ending, but I guess they left it open for possible season 2. I just hope the man at the end isn't Gwanseok but his brother. And I'm really happy for Seonja

yeah I thought it was poorly explained too because during the drama's course I came to believe he really loved her. I think they should've explained why he decided not to go straight back to her in the first place 😭

I understand what you mean. Scenes in English are almost never well executed in kdramas. Here it wasn't as bad as in Squid game but it wasn't good either and kinda changed the tone of the series
