ahh I wasn't aware of the existence of an amazon tv series. I enjoyed the film and will probably watch the amazon offering.

People who complain that Revamp is not like interview with the vampire would also complain if it was. They want to complain.

Both shows can be enjoyed on their own merit

I havent watched the show so I cant comment if this is an overreaction.

Korean tv shows are marketed at an international audience so they should hire a consultant to provide assistance on racially sensitive issues.

But if Koreans are continuously racist in your tv dramas, its more a reflection on Korean values and their society - rather then who they are trying to target with the racism be it China, India, Arabs, Indonesia

Basically, mainlanders used a VPN or went on a pirated site to watch the show, heard something that triggered…
Does it really matter how they watched it?
A show can be racially offensive even it its not meant for that audience. I haven't seen the show and cant comment if this is an issue - but the racism on this site by many users is an issue.

And racism by Korean and their tv shows is an issue and they do it regularly
Copying some offensive series from nycfoodie
To the Moon (2025): Indians and Arabs
Genie, Make a Wish (2025): Muslim, Middle Eastern and South Asian cultures
King the Land (2023): Arabs and Muslims
Little Women (2022): Vietnamese
Racket Boys (2021): Indonesians

As a brit i sympathise when others dont understand irony or sarcasm.

I like your type of response - whatever the argument and even if it comes from the opposing side, I will always appreciate irony and humour -even if it bites a bit.

Not crying as much as the South Koreans getting deported by their American "friends."As the saying goes:…
if that is your come back then you are pathetic .
You have already lost.

You are a coward who lacks common decency, and the intellect to have a proper debate. Im not wasting time on you. But you know what you are and thats enough for me.

I'm beginning to get a little pist of all the hate comments. For us who actually love this series, there is no…
Its funny that there are people who post more often here, about this show, then on DISCUSSION boards about the shows they watch, love and support.

Its also the SAME POINTS on repeat: not dark enough, its GMM (its fact lets move on), no chemistry, its a boring show( not as boring as the repetitive comments), issues with the plot (plot not revealed yet ). The most hilarious one is that its not " INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE" (lol - That movie has already been made - go watch it instead.)

It has me wondering why they are watching the show at all. Are they held hostage? Do they have poor self control to find themselves watching this show every week. And then hating themselves so they come to post here.

It would be great if the points they made were "topics that we could debate" but their goal is to make noise, annoy, and get a REACTION, so the best thing is
- totally ignore their posts
- Call them out by labelling comment as UNCONSTRUCTIVE, and then NOT ENGAGE FUTHER
- be amused and feel sorry for them as they are somehow forced to watch a show they hate.

EDIT Most of the negative points made are not open to debate - how do you debate that its a GMM show, or its not INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE or they hate the show / Boun/Prem.

I asked a question relevant to the discussion. I tried to understand the animosity. That was my tone. How you analyse my tone is irrelevant - its just a way for you to avoid answering. Its cowardly.

Being British could mean im black, indian, chinese, korean, any person that has settled in the uk is british. However, being English means you are white .

Im 100% white European in ethnicity and moved to the UK - i don't want to share my details and it does not add to the argument. I have no relationship to china or korea which is more relevant to the discussion.

to be fair korea shows do offend ethnicities /countries often - recently offending both indians and arabs with To The Moon Teaser.
I dont know if its their objective now.

.
They are a business and If shows are marketed at an international audience then maybe they need to hire a consultant to provide assistance on this issue.

I have started asking myself if i would watch the show if it was not a bl.
Sadly they are all prioritising bl quantity output rather then producing something when or because they have a story to tell. We have to just wait for quality like Secret Relationships to come along, and be more quick to drop the bls produced to meet quantity requirements.

Half British/European here - and my country is worse -along with US in supporting israel and genocide - no diff to nazis.
China is not the worst country in the world. And i have a lot of respect to them for standing up to bully US - whereas a lot of other countries are bowing down and thinking that they actually have a seat at the "all white" table. Bunch of useful idiots - and they hare finding out.

What is your country that you hate China so much?

Or are you too much of a coward to answer the question?

Its a pity they don't make more bls that are different and creative.
People bitch about GMM but that is what they watch

Wtf happened to KBL quality? What happened to the quality that gave us Jazz for Two, Cherry Blossoms After Winter,…
I dropped this after reading your comment, and having watched the first episode.

There have been some amazing kbl's but recently they have been repeating the same plot/formula with diff set of actors and location about misunderstanding, awkwardness, mc inner dialogue, miscommunication. Everything is resolved in last episode when the audience is rewarded with a fish kiss.

I have issues with jbls and thai bl nowadays but this is not the place for that (don't want people to think im only picking on kbl's )

Thanks, I did. I like that it was different, philosophical, and I loved the ending. The story was beautiful. I gave it an 8 (which is high for me)

The main criticism I have is that I felt that the the actor playing sunshine was distracting because he overplayed the role. He was too self-aware and I focused on him overacting, rather then the dialogue and meaning. (I get that his character is immature, annoying - but i still feel his acting was an issue).
However the actor that played Kyu was great in the role. Funnily enough he was not done much after this.

I quite agree, except about the point that the actor (the one who played the character in the drama not the one…
I agree with you. I had not understood issue correctly when i said he should be embarrassed. Mandarin is not his skill set - and the fact that he tried is commended and should be appreciated anyway. Even if its amusing

I think there is a diff between light banter and malicious intent to hurt. And people are getting annoyed without speaking to either to understand - im assuming its good natured joking.

Its coming across like you are generalising and dismissing the relationships that non asian people have with their families and communities.

Do you have separate bathrooms for men and women in your home?
Because your argument is as absurd as me asking you IF YOU CAN PROVE THAT TRANSWOMEN HAVE NEVER RAPED WOMEN.
Does it matter if the rape occurs in a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom??? (i can actually provide articles about transgender women have sexually assaulting women in a bathroom)

"transwomen are in between men and women in violence"
Your statement is incorrect.
Based on studies, ‘male-to-females . . . RETAINED A MALE PATTERN regarding criminality.
https://committees.parliament.uk/writtenevidence/18973/pdf/

I will stick with facts and prioritise the safety of women and be considerate of trauma faced by victims of sexual assault.
