100% this. People need to realise that fiction is not reality. And if we start censoring certain behaviours and…
Im not arguing about fiction but morality in real life.

Who are you to disparage someone's elses experience and pain and decide what evil is worse.
What right do you have to sit and judge the severity of a crime - be it rape, bigotry, cheating, infidelity. You think you can decide what crime is worse for a victim based on your pathetic experience.

Even during dangerous times - a moral wrong is a wrong.
Even if i lived in the 50s during McCarthyism era - I would not betray others to save my skin. There are lines I would not cross. If you excuse certain actions due "to those times" then you can argue that racism and bigoty wasn't so bad either - it was justified because it was law.
Even during dangerous times - a moral wrong is a wrong.

As for the betrayal and infidelity you experienced -if you trivialise a victims experience to defend your ego then may you have the karma you deserve

Whenever infidelity is a subject in a drama - especially BL-themed ones - the comment section is always flooded…
100% this. People need to realise that fiction is not reality. And if we start censoring certain behaviours and subjects that we dont approve of we will end up with a situation like China banning bl series.

It annoys particularly when audience are so selective over what they moralise about - violence, murder and mafia themes are okay. They romanticise that completely.

If people hate infidelity, deceit, betrayal, then why don't they focus to sort out their personal lives before imposing morals on fictional characters. Most people who have a problem with the ethics of fictional characters are lacking ethics if they cant differentiate and feel the need to point it out.

You don't have to excuse using betrayal as a subject in fiction, but lets not make excuses for the act even during dangerous times. This is where i disagree with you. Its still not justified to hurt and destroy other innocent lives just to protect yourself and your sexuality.
Betrayal and infidelity is simply a plot device and in fiction I am amoral. I want to be entertained, and experience diff perspectives.

I actually find this show funny and can laugh.Curious what is cringe humour to you? I found My Golden Blood very…
I think its sad that its being boycotted because they have really done a good job creating an entertaining series. I love the show. The actors are great, and production is good BUT its not true to the book/webtoon.

This book meant a lot to the Thai fans because it dealt with issues dear to them. "The novel tackles politics, LGBTQIA rights, classism, colorism, and more."
Im including a link to the reddit discussion.
https://old.reddit.com/r/boyslove/comments/1mdx09h/im_the_most_beautiful_count_and_how_important/

I think should have bought rights to produce a spinoff type story rather then to buy rights to the original book and then changing the most significant parts that meant a lot to the author and fans.

It may be absurd to international fans but the issues it tackled meant a lot to the Thai fans.

REALLY? Nobody liked The Next Prince? Sure it was a bit sugar coated and cringy at times but all Zee/Nu dramas…
lol - Im glad you enjoyed TNP but have you not looked at the comments made on TNP discussion pages.
Sugar high is a good way of describing it but i think you need to be a fan of ZNN to actually enjoy TNP. I enjoyed some of their other shows but not TNP

i understand - some shows have taken me months to finish because of this issue. I have to force myself. And only when enough time has passed that i forget how embarrassed i was.
Its usually when a character exposes some embarrassing feeling or some embarrassing behaviour/situation is exposed.
In this show i feel the actor he has embraced everything embarrassing, and is so comfortable being unashamed that i cant feel embarrassment.

I found My Golden Blood very cringe and the camp didnt work for me - saw no humour. Obviously so many enjoyed it but I could not hang on even if paid. Funny how we all view cringe differently

oh you idiot.. and this is basically on your geopolitical lack of knowledge
Because an idiot is unable to fight by using facts, they insult the person instead. Based on your actions, you have shown what you are - and that you are incapable of challenging arguments.
Im not going to waste further time on you except to point our some truths that you would fail to recognise even if coloured in bright crayon

PS The fallacy of attacking a person instead of addressing their argument is known as an ad hominem fallacy.

@Nezuh i didnt see him as necessarily being gay to start of with - i saw him as falling for someone that "loved" him and happened to be a man.
I would say he is more bisexual.

As a gay guy, I can assure you that Imagase will be back lolIn fact, just by watching the movie you can tell.
lol why do you assume all people (gays) act the same way from say maybe your personal experience or how you would behave.
I want Imagase to make him suffer - a lot even if he goes back.

But i do like ending - leaving us thinking

No problem and thank you for being kind enough to explain. A lot of false things get thrown around - its hard to distinguish what the truth is. And he is not an actor that I know much about.

You are lacking in comprehension.
Its a follow up question that if he is then... how do you reconcile it.

@beluga whales are cool was kind enough to give me a satisfactory answer.
