lol - the actors PROB THIK they are - but I am certain the fans KNOW that they are the most brilliant and naturally talented actors.

Promotion drives a shows success, but in Thai bl industry, a strong the fan base of the leading actors is another factor. If the fans love the actors they accept anything it seems. I am reading comments made by fans drooling and discussing various shows, the actors, particular scenes and im scratching my head wondering if I am watching the same show as they are. Objectively most thai bl shows aren't that good or original and rely on well outworn tropes. (not trying to insult - but they have less budget and resources )

GMM is like the McDonalds of the bl series -in output and quality. I acknowledge their success but I am not a fan. I am rooting for DMD and other smaller companies because it will mean variety at least, instead of the same formulaic bl series.

Sometimes you really can enjoy a McDonalds - but you know its junk food.
I personally oved THK because it made me laugh - and I found Style hilarious. Im not saying it was better then the other shows you mentioned but it hit the spot for me. Problem is that most people see McDonalds as food and don't recognise it as junk food - meant to indulge in once in a while.

So they over produce series to capture market share - to hold back and destroy competition. And the series produced do not need to be of quality. I like Mark Pakin and Ohm. I couldn't finish the show. Mark is an exceptionally good actor (you dont get many in bls) and it makes me both angry and sad for him.

In my opinion there are very few good bl series that have good original storyline, and a script that is compelling and that entertains at an international standard. Considering the quantity, there are very few GMM shows (they have their issues) that deliver that. Only Friends, The Heart Killers (was funny & still cant get over Style in the steam room), Bad Buddy.

I dont think a lot of the bl shows would be popular if the main actors did not have an obsessed fanbase that will accept anything. I wonder if shows like Ex-Morning, or Magic Prophecy would survive if they relied on the script and story telling.

Its a shame that so many actors are going to GMM. More formula bls. Im rooting of the smaller companies.

I didnt know siwaj was also involved in Between Us. I didnt like Perfect 10 Liners. I also dont like GMMtv but I cant argue with their success. The audience likes predictable, boring and fluff that is cringe.

Unpopular opinion - but I am also dropping (or watching 4xspeed ) My Magic Prophecy. I dont like it when adult men in shows act like cute teenage girls in love while performing all the bl tropes, like bandaging of a scratch, patting on head. Too cringe, predictable and boring. GMM speciality.

But sometimes GMM goes and does something like produce "Only Friends".

I agree with you. In addition, I found the music and noises made too loud, and overused.

lol - i did like ramil as a cute puppy vampire. Someone pointed out he is like that with Punn but more serious when dealing with other vampires (which i had not noticed while watching).

I just read that Joss is a Trump supporter and follower. That he is right wing. Is it true? It if is can I respectfully ask how fans how they can support the actor.

How do you reconcile you personal believes to support someone who supports right wing bigoted policies. How do you "fan" an actor that supports someone who is a sexual offender, a bigot, who is against gay rights, and a racist. Trump is not only undermining gay rights but would also y be a racist - yes against Thais - they are not white enough.

What part of the writing makes it noticeably more horrible then other bl shows?

maybe RoRoow and others here who argue that its not going to be dark actually know the story better then Prem or Boun. Please stop quoting source material, the actors, and the authors of the script/novel.

i read one of the books and knights mother was currently married to Per /Knights father. Knight is the younger brother, so it would also make sense that his mother is the new wife. (if both had been married to father)
Maybe they changed it in the tv drama .

Same in the UK - there is hardly any reporting. Reynhard Sinaga made headlines. About two weeks ago, I had only read of one man being raped on a residential road in London. The other time I had read about it was bullying and rapes in the army and suicides. Im sure there were no convictions for those involved.

I had read an article in the guardian (a few years ago) which I cant find now about a mans ( a police officer I think) experience with being raped and that was heart wrenching. As a female, I had never though much about male rape (didn't think it happened - apart from prison) or considered it from a male perspective until that article/opinion story.
I had not heard of bls then either.


Rape isn't taken seriously if you look at how the law (not punishing_ and society (blaming victims) looks at it. So it kind of annoys me when everyone gets so uptight about fictional characters "toxic" behaviour but in the real world not much is done to change laws, and perceptions.
People still make jokes about rape in prison.

Male rape has even more stigma attached - even in the west. But it is more common to report. In the UK just less of 1% of reported rapes are successfully convicted so its depressing.

I agree with your guess about where the plot is going. I have also seen the trope where a person is blamed for something they didn't do way to often.

I Agree that I would also call the police and let justice take its course.

Im not jumping to conclusions as that is what they intend for us to do. So Im not assuming it was Knight yet, but its terrible story telling by making things so confusing. The plot is not "plotting" but I dont know if the book is bad or the series is badly done.

So they watched the rape take place while Mild was sleeping. That is so f*cked. And its worse that nobody called the police or took Mild to doctors for examination/testing. Mild has a right to know.

And if Mild blanked it out due to PTSD then the brother has a duty to let him know he is dating his rapist for his own safety. I wouldn't forgive the brother for not telling the truth.
