There are still those who refuse to accept that 'Deep Night' is about prostitution. Is it because the hosts aren't…
I dont understand why people want to impose moral judgements on fictional characters and fictional environments. I dont approve of murder either but if its in a film or drama I have to publicly declare that Im against murder.
Regards normalising prostitution. This show was about a host bar and did not really dwell on the issue. There will always be prostitution - so the question is how do we protect workers, and society. There is a lot of exploitation and abuse in the industry - sex trafficking, pimps, forced drugging, etc That is what we should criminalise.
lol - I was pleasantly surprised at this show. I found it cute. The nc scenes were good and I was not expecting a thruple.
It seems some people have a problem with this fictional show and morals. When I see a murder or violence or a mafia scene in a drama - I dont have to announce that I am morally against it. And petition to have that part removed. So what it its set in this environment.

I have yet to catch up and watch episode but doesn't rape happen in real life? Should we pretend rape does not…
Censorship has everything to do with it. A lot of us have a problem with censorship - look at the decisions made by the Chinese govt to ban bl shows because like you they thought they had moral superiority. We have shows like Addicted cancelled amongst others because of your type. Some have said that they had the right to dictate. F&ck your kind.
I am convinced that only those with no moral compass care about what fictional characters do. That is people like youself.
I dont see a how a fictional show can ever normalise rape n or change my view of the reality - but obviously you dont understand right and wrong and need to preach and inform everyone that its bad. Are your morals triggered?
Clutch your pearls at what fictional characters do and ignore reality - and you are too thick to understand the bigger picture about censorship.
I have yet to catch up and watch episode but doesn't rape happen in real life? Should we pretend rape does not…
I get what you are saying.
Rape is a big deal, but society's attitude in real life is worse than what is portrayed in bls. Im more concerned about society not punishing rapists in real life rather than judging fictional characters. A rapist is the president of the USA. And in the UK where I live, less than 1% of reported rapes have a conviction.
Censorship because this is an issue affecting us currently in the UK as they just implemented the Online Safety Act and people have to provide IDs to verify who you are before they can access certain NSFW sites - so even some pages on reddit are blocked - not just porn sites. We are now being tracked. The end goal will be to limit more freedoms and control content we watch. Its easy to say its just porn, but the content can be news and information that affect our votes and our lives. End of rant.
I have yet to catch up and watch episode but doesn't rape happen in real life? Should we pretend rape does not…
Maybe its lazy writing, but in real life there is no punishment and they get away with it.
A rapist is the president of the most powerful country in the world. And in the UK where I live, less than 1% of reported rapes have a conviction. They say 40% or rapes are unreported, and if children are involved than its 70% unreported. Male rape statistics would be worse i would imagine.
Im more concerned about society not punishing rapists in real life rather then how a fictional character is portrayed.
I live in the UK and Im angry about controls and censorship. They recently implemented an Online Safety Act (OSA) which means that people have to provide IDs to verify who you are before they can access certain NSFW sites - so even some pages on reddit are blocked. Its easy to say that I dont watch porn so it does not affect me and porn is harmful anyway (I think it is). But the issue is that laws like that limits freedom, and will be used to control us, the media content, news content we get.
Those are my issues about who gets the right to say what we should watch.
I watched the episodes in about 5 minutes - skipping through most and stopping to watch the supporting couples.
Thank you for that detailed response.
lol they do spend but sometimes you need to build up goodwill but Im sure they are doing something right as they are producing series. Pity its not a listed company so I cant access financials. If I was advising Aof I would get him to make sure that all the actor couples under the label to actively support each other to avoid these fan warfare.
I will still defend DMD just because you need to have other successful players in the industry apart from GMM. Even if GMM turned out good products there needs to be competition otherwise we get much of the same and boredom.
I hope Mr Fanboy does well. Im actually looking forward to that one from them.
Rape in 2025.Who came with the dumb idea it is ok.And Mild was a minor when that happened. If I was Long Lee I…
I have yet to catch up and watch episode but doesn't rape happen in real life?
Should we pretend rape does not happen, ignore it and write it out of our reality. And do that in fiction as well.
Lets start by banning all types of violence . How about no war movies, action films, and we should change all the scripts so there is no shooting and punching people. We should also not have dramas about betrayals and cheating. We should most certainly not have dramas like KinnPorsche in this day and age. How disgusting right? Lets set moral standards in fiction and tell authors how to write and topics allowed to be covered.
This had potential. However they wrote this like it was full length drama instead of a short. Too much story,…
I agree. Less is more. I am also over what I call the misogyny trope - used to make bl viewers hate the girl characters.
You stated "Because it was very clear what happened in the past" I didnt understand what happened between Kang Min and Lee Su Ho - maybe i missed it was it not translated
I found this show too cringe to enjoy. Dont get me wrong, I can appreciate camp -" unforgotten nights" does it right unintentionally. But MGB was immature, embarrassing and boring.
Actors are good. There is real kissing. Story was good but could have been clearer about projection of twins So Chan created another version of the person Seo in his mind. -Maybe one version that has different traits OR -A version representing Seo in the past (another person mentioned this below)
To be honest I dont really understand - making some assumptions
Sorry but what do you mean forced "straight" story? You mean they should only have bl couples - or was…
Thank you for that explanation. So they just the created Chang character and made him straight. That decision makes no sense as its already a bl and it would just piss off the webtoons fans.
I watched the episodes in about 5 minutes - skipping through most and stopping to watch the supporting couples.
Thank you. Its whole different world that is so new to me.
But sometimes I wish I was a teenager in this day and age because of the media and possibilities - although I realise how difficult the world is right now with all the political and environmental and economic issues.

Thanks for sharing that. That is so interesting. I have become curious re financials for bls. How do you know all the information.
Does DMD/ production company also get the money from fan meetups, and brand deals for actors. I thought that actors made money by doing those things as I had heard that they dont get paid a lot per series.
Do you perhaps know how much they spent per episode on Khemjira? I heard they also spent a lot. I dont know how popular the actors were or are - but its a bigger risk if fandom is not there. (i dont follow fandom much - and im in UK so no knowledge about Thai fandoms). I calculated that TNP was roughly £190k per episode ( counted last episode as 2) which is considerable if an average bl episode costs £40k (all very very rough estimates)
TOTALLY!!It doesn't make sense, especially when episode 1 has a 9. Where do they get that the series deserves…
I limit my 10s to shows that made me feel something - resonated or provided a message. They dont need to be technically brilliant. But i try to limit to 5-10% of shows watched.
I see a lot of people give ratings of 10 to like over 50% of the shows they watch. I find that strange and sometimes I wish I loved that many shows as much as they do.

lol thanks but you really dont need to adjust it. If you dont like it and you feel it deserves a 1 then its okay as well. People have diff tastes. I just found rating system unusual.
Some even think "being gay" is a moral issue and have a problem with it.
