Atleast let us know what is happening. Uncertainty is frustrating.
What negative feedback are they even talking about? Is it because of the black Weibo posts? Most of the people giving negative feedback never even watched the show. I saw a thread on Reddit where a bunch of people were slandering it, proudly admitting they hadn’t watched a single episode and were just commenting based on Weibo hot searches. It’s honestly pathetic. I don’t know what’s going on, but stopping the broadcast of such a popular show for weeks without even a statement feels extremely unprofessional. I was so excited, waiting like crazy for Episode 4, and I can't even describe how disappointed I am.
The FL is really good at acting—like most female leads in C-dramas. I don’t think domestic audiences usually don’t care much about Weibo hot searches; it’s mostly fans and haters with too much free time. So far, the drama is solid. Most Chinese mini-screen actresses are just as good as big-screen actresses in my country.
International audiences have different tastes from domestic ones. We don’t hype average dramas but our standards are different. For me acting comes after drama's overall quality, plot and script. Many of us have little interest in Republican-era settings, even though those are very popular in China . It’s just a cultural difference—not because domestic audience have better judgment.
I recommend this drama for anyone who loves a good scare (like me) .
Please don’t come at me. I know it’s just a rumor, and maybe there’s no hope of it actually happening. But…
She never had stroke. Please ask chat gpt what is Dissociative conversion disorder. She was malnourished and depressed for long time which caused DCD. Recovery time is usually a month to 6 months. It is not a physical illness but mental illness.
Episode 3 is so far the best episode. It is sad that the viewership is lower than the other 2. Episode 3 was fun and heartwarming and I even forgot that it is a slow variety show.
Episode 2 is even more fun and heartwarming to watch. No English subtitles yet, so I need to watch again once subtitles are added.Lusi looks absolutely adorable!
How did 2nd episode did?How many viewsWang yibo defender of hidden documentary crossed 1 billion views
I didn’t think I was being disrespectful. You’ve made your point about the low viewership and your comparisons with other shows. But bringing up the same question after every episode and comparing it to different shows each time starts to feel a bit suspicious.
The user @Doom is just trying to make the point that viewership is low and show is not well received. It is obvious that they are not here out of concern at all. Better not to engage with them.

Ah, I see—you’re here out of deep concern, of course. Definitely not trying to bring it down while posing as a fan.
Just to clarify though, this isn’t Hello Saturday or an adventure game show. It’s not meant to chase viral numbers with celebrity antics. So no, it’s not surprising that it hasn’t hit 100 million views. Personally, I find the show meaningful. I relate to her because I understand how important mental health is. And I connect with the village kids—it makes me miss my hometown. Not everything valuable is flashy or loud.
And yes, you’ve mentioned the low viewership. Repeating it over and over doesn’t make your point any stronger. Once is enough—we got it the first time.
How's reception of lusi's new variety show in china ?I have heard that people are twisting her words from partially…
First episode was a broadcast success for a healing-style variety show. I don't think almost 88m views is from her fans, both international and national, alone. Lots of black searches which was completely opposite to the show concept. I think most water armies are taken down by now.
We cannot compare a comedy show with a public welfare variety show. If you look at healing variety, the views will be between 5 and 40m. Compared to that, first episode broadcast volume is outstanding
This show may not be for everyone, but I loved it and watched it three times. Unlike shows like Hello Saturday, it’s a documentary style VS showcasing China’s beauty and rural kids' lives. For a minute, Lusi shared how her hectic lifestyle once made her collapse, but Weibo twisted it multiple times to slander her. Despite that, the show reached 84.5 million views now(just on mango TV alone)—an amazing achievement for a healing-style variety show with just one star. Staying inside and resting is not an option for depression. The more she stays away, the more depressed she will be. She talked about memory issues because of current treatment, preventing her from working in dramas. Hope the fresh air and innocent children will help her complete recovery. Being engaged in something we love is a therapy for depression. I wish people on Weibo can be a bit more open minded and understanding about mental health other than discussing on Black HS
i dont get how the rating is 7.9, this drama is sooo good
I don't understand why people are saying haters work against EY. But why her previous works got high scores?? Something that is good for you may not be good for another person. That is the reason. Nobody cares about MDL ratings so I don't think people will get paid for that.
