Yeah, Ruyi is not easy for the soul… I’ve seen “Destined” and really enjoyed it.

I started “Perfect Match” but dropped on the second episode. For some reasons the drama gave me the impression that it’d be one where men are emasculated. I like a good romance but I want both genders to be represented well and in a respectful way. If you say it’s good, I’ll give it a chance again 😊.

The actor who played Yuan Chunwang did such a great job that when I see him in other dramas, i automatically remember “Yanxi’s Palace”. I liked him early on but I could tell he was mentally unstable.

I agree with you, show us from the beginning that you are bad and stay consistent. Consort Gao and the evil princess in “The Double” are 2 of my favorite villains.

Ruyi made me depressed for a while, so good but my heart was a mess for some time lol… “Are you the one” was one that I also enjoyed but the last few episodes felt rushed but it’s still good.

Same! I had completely forgotten about her sister but I’m happy the revenge happened. You know who else I really enjoyed in the drama? “ Noble Consort Gao“, such a good villain.

The cinematography, the acting and the pace was excellent. The part that rose my blood pressure was her relationship with “Lu Buwei” character. If you do watch, let me know your thoughts but I had to give you the heads up 😅.

Fuca Fuheng's death was an abomination, so unnecessary 😔. The death of the maid that had the needles in the body was also upsetting.

It’s a tragedy for us viewers and yes both actors and actresses are doing this.

That scene where ML was hurt and she thought he was dying and she was there with her emotionless face and crying without tears 🫠. That’s just one example among many.

80% of the actors jobs is in facial expressions (imo). They are all Botoxed and too worried about crying “pretty”, it’s like watching robots pretending to be humans.

How are we supposed to relate to the characters when they give us something bland like that? We are watching emotional scenes without emotions and as viewers, what’s the point?!

I understand and you are right, there’s a drought in dramaland lately. TBH the whole 2025 in dramaland has been underwhelming for me so far. I had to lower my standards a lot this year, hoping the upcoming dramas will be better quality.

I’m the one who will tell you to drop it, I did and it’s freeing. I come to the comments to see if it picks up but so far I don’t see a reason to continue. The issues you pointed out are similar to the ones I had.

Tbh, a sad ending will be the most appropriate here. Happy will feel forced. FL doesn’t show any emotions, she’s stiff in her acting. ML has gone irresponsible, all he cares about is FL who is not giving him the time of the day.

That said, it’s a good mini drama!

If I were her, I’d stop saving the ungrateful royal family. She saves them, they are happy but then someone accuses her and without proof, they are ready to kill her… this goes on over and over again. I don’t need to prove the mother’s innocence that bad.

I’d tell them: “Y’all enjoy poisoning each other and that chickenpox! 💯✌️.”
