I can understand that. My comment was mostly because he left her alone. I found myself thinking “couldn’t he at least have a bastard child if he didn’t want one with SuSu??” All she wanted was to continue the family line. She sacrificed for him and his family, he could at least “sacrifice” himself and leave her his child to raise. That’s why I said he was selfish.

I don’t know much about the communist party, I see some saying it was bad and others saying it was good. I should look more into it, I just don’t know where to start.

I started “this thriving land”, the beginning was so promising but the last few episodes don’t seem promising at all.

I waited so long for that drama, the let down was so disappointing. You are right that it made more sense than reincarnation but they picked the wrong actress for that role. The man looked constipated all the time. Fl couldn’t pass for a general. The romance was a bit flat. The storyline was just boring and insulting to the time I spent waiting for it.

The writer doesn’t care, she kept us here with lies lol. She pretended on the first half of the show that it would be something great, she knew garbage was coming. I think SuSu will die.

I am mentally preparing myself for the writer disappointing us. I do not have hope anymore for this drama to end in a satisfactory way.

She has no excuses, if Tao in all her madness managed to give birth to a healthy child, why couldn’t she? I’m sure Tao was starving more and received less care than saint XiuXiu. The village saint in all her wisdom couldn’t understand that she needed to sit and rest just a few months until the baby was out?

Idk about the others but I was sold the idea that the FL was wiser with her decisions making. She “broke” character when she was smart when it came to other’s problems but completely irresponsible and frankly an idiot when it came to her wellbeing especially when pregnant. Being nosy and not minding her business. Was it that hard to just sit and eat what was given to her for the sake of her unborn child?

Her behavior imo was not noble at all, self sacrificing at the cost of neglecting her health is idiotic not noble.

I don’t know how it is in villages today but if there’s a XiuXiu and she drastically switches this way, I’ll probably question her sanity as well.
