Completely agree. Either the acting was not great or she is truly sus...Her reactions from the beginning to later…
I also think that she and the one who played the friend are the weakest actresses since the drama started. Everyone else could pull us into their emotions. Remember how the actress who played the mom of that baby was crying and going into depression while looking for her baby? Even the grandma’s acting was on point. You could actually feel the sadness. This one today, she was “crying” with no tears.

I was hoping she’d snap and tell the truth at the police station when she saw him hugging his wife. We really can’t trust anyone fully in this life, smh.
- as you said, the fact that she’s a general with that physical appearance. - the fact that ml couldn’t tell that it was an imposter when they were in front of the emperor. Some said it’s because they hadn’t seen each other in a while but we can clearly see flashbacks of them studying together and they already had their adult bodies. - she survived that fall from the cliff and had that sword pierced her chest but after a month in a coma she was perfectly fine. - she’s in a camp full of soldiers but no one seems to realize that with her petite body that she’s a woman. - there’s someone who knows medicine in the camp and even him can’t tell she’s a woman? - she’s a respected general but no one knows what she looks like to the point where her brother can take over that easily, didn’t she have soldiers she trained with before? No one can tell?
The list goes on, it’s really hard to watch without having to shut down logic.
The actor played his role too well 😤, he has such a punchable face in this drama.
🤣🤣 him saying that “mei mei” and seeing his face brought the violence out of us! Smh, I was starting to forget the rage his character gave me but your comment reminded me again 😂. The actor didn’t have to commit that much to this annoying character 😤.
“We ask for your interest and anticipation for the story of the brutal serial killer Queen Mantis, brought to life through Go Hyun Jung's intense effort and meticulous performance."
You got it! When actors are this committed to a role, the least I can do as a viewer is to give my respect and attention.
The wolves had been distrubed and wouldn’t stop chasing them unless somebody stayed back to distract the wolves.
lol yes! Heavy guy and he was injured too so he maybe had to lean a certain way on the horse? Idk 😅
I agree with the shutting the brain part, watching the first episodes today made me tired lol. I dropped for now but may or may not pick it back again. I don’t like when there are too many illogical plots.

Maybe the both of them on the horse would have slowed the horse down. I asked myself the same question and that’s the answer I came up with. She also maybe wanted to distract the wolves and give the other guy and the horse a chance to escape.
When I saw her fall from the cliff I said “not again! Please spare us the amnesia plot.” I thought they’d do like Princess Gambit again.
FL standing in the middle of all the soldiers clearly has the shape of a woman. Even next to the one who said he was the shortest before, she looks like a woman. Like you said, a more masculine looking FL would have been better OR more feminine looking men like in “Dominion and Devotion”.
I was really looking forward to this drama, it’s an unfortunate start.
Ep 1: they were childhood classmates, trained together but he couldn’t tell the difference with the body shapes when the impostor appeared in front of him and the emperor? Maybe rage made him not notice 😑
My frustration during today’s episodes 📈. I understand the behaviors but frustration, lack of clear communication, interrupting others and they trying to say something important, deciding things on their own, wasting time etc… everything was served today.
Unlike western society that has a more pay-it-forward philosophy, Korea is more of a pay-it-backward philosophy.…
Thank you for this thorough explanation and it definitely makes me somewhat understand the behavior. It’s not new, it comes from ancestral beliefs. Wow…. I can see in a way the positive in that way of thinking (safer society as a whole) but I can also see how that pressure can make people snap.
