just finished the novel. overall I liked it. lots of cases though. I saw on xhs how people were warning about which male lead to like bc it might not be the one she ends up. I kept that in mind throughout so I was not upset 😂I only wished the ending could’ve been more satisfying… Su Jin and the ML spent too many years apart by the end 😭 while I liked Liu Chaoming & Zhu Nanxian, i didn’t expect Shen Xi to be one of my favs! he was such a good friend.

I read the novel on a whim and absolutely loved it. He Feng & Azhi’s first life was so tragic 😭😭I cried so much. But reading this genuinely stressed me out from start to finish. I could feel the despair. It starts in their second life, but their first life takes place in 1940s WWII-era China, full of espionage. the worst part is the constant sense of doom. He Feng & A’zhi didn't meet under the best circumstances, but their time together on the mountain was so sweet. It was full of youth and love. Life wasn't so bad yet. And then they got thrown into a war.
