yeah so many international fans are not really into heavy serious dramas they usually love idol dramas, chinese people love such dramas tho.
it is so sad tbh bc they are great and ppl are sleeping on them

in so many dramas that have similar settings, they usually portrayed the lead as the smart person who is the only one that is interested in solving the cases while everybody else is just there, but in this the main lead is not playing the main character or the center of everything, everybody is doing their jobs, even the side characters are important, this is a plus for me, great work

the first 2 eps are so funny, i did not know that CXX was so introverted and shy

dilraba is doing a veryyyy good job like better than ever, i am glad she chose such a serious serie bc she needed that fr, before i did not really see her as a great actress who made me pause and think that she is a wow actress, i loved her performance in the long ballad yet it was just decent but here she actually ate so hard, and i am so happy with i am seeing.

best historical drama of 2024, the chem was fire, the acting was really good, the script was well written, no plot holes and they best of all both leads were so mature and green flags, no misunderstanding and the fl was soooo smart and strong

what i liked so far about this is how reba looks, she looks so natural and you will not get bothered by her visual, she is a goddess, her visual is insane, but here her visual does not really stand that much, for me it is really important when actors focus on fitting the role rather than looking pretty, it is really annoying to watch a drama where an actor or an actress just can not stand looking average bc of the idol image

well i will hold your hands when i say that this drama is a romance drama as well, the romance just has not started yet, in both xianxia and xuanhuan you will find romance but sometimes it is minimal bc the main focus in these genres are the journey of the lead and usually he or she has a purpose which does not stop them from finding love, based on your words xuanhuan has nothing to do with romance then??? LGIEF, lost you forever, burning flames, DHR...and more these are xuanhuans but there is romance in all of them, i do not see from where you get the idea of romance and how it is related to any genre, it is like saying you can not find romance in wuxia or horror, it is literally a genre itself

cultivation here is used for immortality not as a stand alone, daoist and other chinese cultures and so far i see no western or eastern elements that will make this a xuanhuan, and as the title clearly says this is basically a journey towards immortality which xuanhuan does not really focus on but whatever makes you happy

but i see why you think it is a xuanhuan, i guess you focused only on the cultivation part and other shared themes between xianxiaa annd xuanhuan

well i have been watching cdrama for more than 11 years so i do not think that is something hard for me to tell, and nobody said that xianxia is the only fantasy genre, but it is easy to tell the dif between a xianxia and a xuanhuan and this one so far is a xianxia

i am watching ep 1 and that is def a xianxia, xianxias are not romance only, you are just used to romance xianxia which made you think that xianxias and romance are the same thing

i have a question for the people who watched the first eps, his acting got better in this or it is still the same? bc i do want to waste my time if i am going to see a mid performance ?? and please do not give me a biased answer i need an honest one, also is the plot dif from other xianxias or nothing new bc that is what xianxias been doing lately??

i am the only one who felt that the scene when the shy guy was hiding and he over heard the girls talking shvt about him so staged and fake??? bc even he was not there she would not dare to be mean knowing that it is a tv show and everybody will see that, and she will get so much hate bc of it, and it is a netflix show so it makes sense, that is why i love chinese dating shows they are there for the drama or to get famous but to find love, so many participants are still dating others got married and they all nice people. here some of them give weird vibes that you keep wondering if this is a drama rather than a real show.

good to see how he is still in a good relationship with almost all his co stars and how they sent flowers to support him, li yitong, song zuer, joseph and chaoyue who acted with him long ago, dilraba, baiyu, linghe, jinjing, keyu, even yu shuxin who was with him in a variety show for only few days did that too, zhang bichen, silence wang and many others. the ones who are not his friends anymore are the ones who are having a one sided beef with him, and karma is hitting them hard.
he only cares about being a better ver of himself, improving his acting and singing, he is not obsessed with being the first billing in the cast, he does not mind being a supporting actor, he keeps his fans under control bc he is only want good people to support him and be around him, he always says to his fans that he wants them to enjoy his dramas bc he does not want to be in a competition with other actors, a true legend, when i look at him i feel proud that we made the right person famous.
