I hope there's a kissing scene, because there's a romance tag. About FL's age, maybe sensitive shooting can be…
It’s a fantasy, it doesn’t need romance. Filming is over, and if they wait until July when Ai Mi is 18 to add kissing scenes will delay the release of this drama. It will upset fans who are anticipating it! No need to add any kissing scene!
I agree that maybe another actress or actor should have been hired. But a child, at almost 18? Sorry, a child…
calm down! You do understand that Ai Mi will be 18 in six months, therefore , she is a pre-adult! if she was 14 and Lin Yi just turned 27 four days ago would be a different issue. Therefore, the age gap isn’t an issue! Plus, I’m currently on Chapter 53 of the novel and there isn’t any intimate scene between the leads. Since, the screen writer is from Derailment, she will adapt the drama precisely to what the novel will be. If you saw Derailment, you’ll understand that there was no romance involved in that modern fantasy drama. Plus, you do understand that China’s censorship is strict correct. There would be no romance between those leading actors due to age differences. Also, I don’t see you complaining in Keys to The Phoenix Heart where she will be acting with Hou Minghao who will be 29 this year. Where is your complaint in that area hmm?
There is romance then why they need to remove the tags
I watched Derailment twice and pay attention on episode 24, Lin Yi’s character kisses her and on episode 28 her character kisses him on the cheek. I believe that’s the only kissing scene in her drama, but, yeah she has a no kissing rule wherever she films.

Yes, exactly Ai Mi will be 18 this year and entering college soon. Therefore, she is pre adult. In the novel, Li Weiyi is two years younger than Zheng Jinchang and when they’re in the past she is 17 and he is 19. The novel is addicting to read, and looking forward to the drama adaptation.
"minimal intimacy" there should be NONE when one of the leads is a minor and the other is almost 30. There…
I suggest you to read the Novel and understand what this drama will be about. I am on chapter 28 of the novel, and there is hardly any romance between the FL and ML. It is a time travel, soul swap, fantasy filled with mystery. Both leads are trying to stop the death of a family member. So, Romance is hardly the plot of a story.
pls ignore the person under your comment,he goes about hatig on weilong every where omg!!
it’s called constructive criticism and not hating on SWL. I’ve said numerous times that he’s handsome and should be a model instead of acting. The way SWL portrays his character is the same, I can guarantee you he’ll act the same in his upcoming drama on Everlasting Longing and Love For You. He has no depth and hasn’t improve. He’ll act the same way as Lin Yusen when he suppose to be Chen Yi.
Critical reception of Song Weilong in the 2025 modern romance drama "Shine on Me" (骄阳似我) has been…
I appreciate your response! and your analysis of his character makes a lot of sense. I just don’t think the actor conveys the emotions correctly, yet, his fans call it hate when I don’t. sigh…but I do appreciate your analysis. 🙂

Excuse me! I don’t hate him, it’s called constructive feedback. if you look at past comments, I’ve said SWL is handsome, and should be a model because acting isn’t for him. He’s so wooden in every scene in Shine On Me. His smile is awkward, and any actor can make the same looks and nods he gave to FL. SML is a way better actor than SWL, yet, SWL is better looking than SML. How am I hating on him? Please think about that?
you go to all his drama pages dropping hate comments, you no longer have the guts to comment on shine on me page…
omg! im currently watching shine on me and love it. I’ve said that numerous times. I also said Zhao Jinmai is fantastic in the role as FL, heck I’ve also said SML is a fantastic actor. I have not hated SWL, I’ve said he’s a great martial artist, he’s handsome, but a terrible actor. I also said that SWL should stick to modeling instead of acting. How in the world is that hating, when I’ve completed him in other ways? Please use your brain. You’ve seen another poster on Shine on Me, stated that she thought that SWL was a bad actor as well. Another person on that page said Xu Kai was better, but you and Jane attacked them on that page!
Critical reception of Song Weilong in the 2025 modern romance drama "Shine on Me" (骄阳似我) has been mixed regarding his acting style. While many fans praise his "lethal" visuals and "heart-fluttering" chemistry with co-star Zhao Jinmai, some viewers have described his performance as underwhelming or lacking in depth compared to his previous work. Key Reception Highlights Stiffness vs. Character Choice: Some viewers find his performance "underwhelming". This perception often stems from his portrayal of Lin Yusen, a character written as a "once-cold ex-surgeon" and a "grumpy boss". Fans of the character argue that this reserved or "stiff" demeanor is a deliberate choice to reflect the character's past trauma and initial professional distance. "Aura Farming": On social media platforms like TikTok, some viewers have humorously commented that while he may not be the most expressive actor, he excels at "aura farming"—using his intense gaze and presence to carry scenes. Comparisons to Previous Roles: Critics often compare his performance in "Shine on Me" to his acclaimed role in "Go Ahead" (2020) or his 2023 performance in "The Bionic Life", which many consider his strongest work to date. Visual Appeal: Despite criticisms of his acting range, promotional materials from iQIYI and WeTV focus heavily on his high "visual attack" and romantic presence, which remain the show's primary draws for international audiences.
Shine On Me is excellent!I'm glad he got a better script and opportunities to act different type of layered character
