I feel like MDL is similer to Rotten Tomatoes. The reviews above are critics like ratings(tomato rating) ,and the comment section is people's rating ( Popcorn meter)
Such a well structured and well written review. You definately are better at writing reviews then the most (including me ofc). P.S.- Don't get me started how much I have listened to Fireflies on loop. That's what got me hooked to Owl City !!!!
Yo! Professor-nim, I mean 7-8 not much of a difference at times. Dramas cannot be that objectively evaluated.…
Hahahaha. congratulations on successful implementation of the plan VP-nim. One day I might also learn how to put up these video do's...but first let me find a character I would like to put there

Would I have known the showing of teeth thing if I hadn't watched it? ๐คญ๐คฃ I love the OTT initially bad characters who turn out to be just misunderstood people (like she was). I alos love it that every time I see the profile video (or whatever it's called) I can hear her voice and lip read exactly what she is saying ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐ค

Dear VP-nim,
It's an honour that the CEO of CinePark has shown her teeth for me.. make me believe my future is definately bright.
And you will be the first to know if I do end up watching this.
as for ratings, I am usually quite liberal with my rating ( you can easily find 5-6 series which I have rated 10, and many more in 9.5 to 9 category). For me basically anything above 9 is a ๐คโค๏ธ, 8.5 is a series I loved a lot and a good series with some minor flaws is 8. 8-9 is very different but 9-10 is not, so I agree that ratings are neither objective nor linear. (btw the link for bucket dint work)

hmm... I guess the ranking is subjective for people as well. fir me it makes a lot of difference between a series that's rated 7 to the one that's rated 8. But the ranking platues towards the end..so 9-10 would be much closer in terms of enjoyment for me then 7-8 is. Btw I haven't seen it yet, I was looking at reviews in order to decide.. your sounded too good to be 7.
P.S.- I like this -nim thing. I will use it too ๐.. Verrronicaa Paarrk-nim ๐ฅ
I think the 5's don't make any sense at all. I can understand it can't hit all the right spots for everyone, but…
Hahahahahah. I am so happy that you liked it. I feel like it's a movie you will appreciate more with time. Revisit it months later. As for the rating, it really doesn't matter much, I have some flawed series which I rated 8 but somehow it leave more impact/memory that a 9 point series could not. ๐
As for josee, I think you should watch it after 18x2. If you want more mood specific recommendations lemme know. I also put some sadish movies in the recommendations as well, cos you don't mind such endings, but if you want more slice of life, lemme know.
P.S. - the Convo has gone too long ๐คฃ. Just DM me next week instead after watching which ever movie you wish (18x2 would be better ig)

2521 is one of your top shows? lol..First time hearing someone praise it and not say the last two episodes f-ed it up (btw I haven't reached there yet, but I know it's something sad..don't tell ofc).
anyways, I also appreciate a good sad story. (but at the same time I also appreciate a good happy story).. but I think sad story definately has more depth to it. So on the same note, let me recommend you 3 movies, since you mentioned you never gave a movie more than 8.5. I am hoping these would break you 8.5 border. Also, not to give a hint, I have mixed movies so that the ending doesn't become obvious. Please watch these of you get the chance ..and definately let me know if you do watch them !! 1- Josee (2020) korean 2- 18x2 - Beyond Youthful Days 3- Little Forest (korean) 4- Perfect Days (Jap)
I couldn't make it 3 as one more popped into my head while writing ๐ฎโ๐จ๐คญ๐ฌ๐คฃ But now it's a perfect mix. You wouldn't be able to guess which has sad ending, which has happy and which one has the most unexpected one !
