I think the 5's don't make any sense at all. I can understand it can't hit all the right spots for everyone, but…
Hahah.. it wasn't supposed to be funny, but I will take whatever compliment I get !! :p
Regarding a bit picking guy giving 10 to a series, That sets up big expectations for the rest two dramas who you have rated 10. I have seen extraordinary attorney woo, and its in my top.list as well (anything 9 or above is top.tier for me, the difference between them aren't much and are very subjective).
but the rest two I have seen (DP and my twenties) maybe I will see it later if I am in the mood. (Right now I am watching 2521)

Hahahah.
I am liking this conversation
I understand what you mean. I also have this itch to know the reason for everything..I can't stand unreasonable things. But for some time now, I have been forcing myself to change, and kDrama has been a big part of it. I am enjoying it, but also taking it like a bitter pill sometime, to reduce my reason seeking brain's activity and maybe increase a little bit of the emotional heart's beat. And that's why I am usually very liberal when it comes to kDramas (as it would be clear by my ratings).
That's why I am okay withthe mystical Grandma, who looks lost and mad like she is a wandering soul, who drops here and there when it matters to help, like a random traveller who you meet suddenly, talk for a few minutes and then leaves...and that is sometimes way more moving/calming/rewarding than much longer conversations.
Regarding the rest of the things, I will agree to disagree, because I don't want to actually admit to a few flaws (which are seemingly becoming obvious and true) only to reduce my love for a sweet series that I saw and have a cherished memory of 😬😬. What a waste of time and energy and vibe it would be 🙈🤭.

Hahahah.... Well atleast I won't be attacking you, and you have a lot of supports as I could see from the reviews. So it should be okay.Hmmm... Well, you points mostly seem valid, and 2-3 of them I didnt even pay attention. At this point I would like to mention, that the reason I rated it 9.5 first (and then 10 after the second watch) is because it was among the first few K-dramas that I saw, so the cliches/troupes were new for me (be it the killer one, they having being met in the past etc). This is what happened with QOT as well. Hence I loved the two, but maybe if I would have seen them nowI might rate them .5 less I think. Now coming to each point...

-I thought the Killer was key to the plot, or else it wouldn't have justified the dramatic element and dramatic behaviour of the FL. But now that I have seen a few more dramas, I think the death could have been done by various other ways (like in Final destination) but then I think getting rid of this killer variable would have had issues..it much easier to get rid of a killer character instead of a random nature/fate which keeps killing the ML.

-Why would you think grandma arc was incomplete? She had that sage like character who keeps nudging her at the right direction, and it was ultimately because of her that those guys met. So I don't think her character was out of place at all.

- The brother earning and she spending it on concerts and mercendise is honestly the point which I didn't even consider. So if this was indeed the case, I think it's very well justified. I was under the impression that she did some sort of work (not a proper job) and that's how she was earning. But now I think I could be wrong there. But the point she not acting her age, I think I have seen enough adults who aren't mature, so I would be okay with that thing..esp when she couldn't communicate to many people as she was disabled, so maybe she stayed at home a lot.

-Was she too cutesy? hmm.. It didn't seem to me.
Isn't it the usual feminine behaviour of korean girls (not to over generalize, but that's what I have seen in most of the dramas and general behaviour of girls)

-For the ML bein ready to give up on his life just after meeting for 5 mins... I didn't get that point? which scene are you talking about specifically? can you please clear that.

Well I am ofc open to other opinions. I understand that stories and feeling can be subjective. it's just that I couldn't see any reason. If you can, please do tell !

hahaha .. so true. When I saw him first in crash course, I thought he looked and felt weird. But he grew on me. And this series I will watch for the only reason that he is in it

I'm watching episode 5 right now and it's a bit difficult to keep watching. I'm actually enjoying the story and…
finally... after so much praise I thought I was the only odd one out. it wasn't perticularly boring but I got busy somewhere and then just couldn't find time to resume it. i think I had reached till the 12th episode

Does anyone know if there is plans for season 2?
It's the first time I am saying this...that I wouldn't absolutely hate the idea of it

I love how it's still rated 9 even with so many reviews rating it under 5, like that just shows how good this…
I think the 5's don't make any sense at all. I can understand it can't hit all the right spots for everyone, but I don't see any logical/possible/sensical reason to go below 7.5 for this

What is the different between English and English CC?
Try it on the roadside scene of episode 6 when they come out of the bookstore.

I'm pretty sure the English CC is usually the dub version, that's why it's not that good.
Alas, The only Hungryness I have has nothing to do with the country.
Oh, I haven't seen it. The only Korean things I see are the series/cinema. When it comes to K-Pop, I am a novice. I just know the name of BTS and maybe their one song. The only artists Ik are MFBTY (and hence Yoon Mirae by association) and IU (cos she is an actress as well)

Which languages do you usually meddle with? and might Inhave seen any of your translations?

switch from English CC to just english (if watching on Netflix). It's a translation issue

btw... I just switched the subtitles from English CC to English (on Netflix), and it's clearer now I think. She…
I don't think Dub would be right choice, since English CC is basically the transcription of the dubbed English audio. Hence I am now watching it with korean audio and english subtitles...and it's making so much more sense now

What is the different between English and English CC?
English CC is Closed Caption which is primary for people who have hearing issues (so you will find the soundedfects and BG scores are also explained in the text) where as subtitles are for people who don't understand the langauge, so you will only find dialogues in the text below.
What's happening here is the English CC version is just a transcription of the English dubbing, and hence it's not as accurate as the normal subtitles (which is giving more context in this case) as it was translated properly directly from Korean

*sigh*
who would have thought the things would go downhill like this with the advent of technology!
Btw, are you still working as a translator somewhere?
