But guess who you should be mad at? It's not the tv show producers or even the showrunners, ect. It's the AUTHOR of the NOVELS/MANGAS/ect. Almost every one of these asian shows is based off of a novel or manga and most of them follow the plot nearly beat for beat! SO, the queerbaiting angle should be aimed full force at the creater of the original work (in instances where the work isn't censored that is) and not at those who decide to turn it into a show/movie, ect. (PS. Based off of a comment I read further down a bit you should DEFINITELY Be yelling at the author in this case. From the sounds of it she wrote her webtoon to be homophobic as hell.)

I fail to even understand why anyone would complain that there is gayness in the show?! Like there are so many BLs now it's the norm. Why even complain about another one even if it's only partially one?! Like ...? If you want to be homophobic shall I introduce you to the ACTUAL BL category?! Bahahahahahhaa! People fail. Hard!

Yet literally every other country (even asian ones) have no issues with using the original audio lol! They need to get better at recording it tbh. Get a boom mic or something >.> & if an actor is hard to understand that's what subs are for lol

I do not understand why Chinese productions feel the need to dub at all, tbh. No other country does this, just them. And it's always terribly distracting >.>

I saw the trailer for this and I just know it's going to destroy me in the same way The Miracle of Teddy Bear did. Just the vibe it's giving me!

The plot on it's face sounds good, it's the execution of the show that is terrible tbh.
No chemistry and I just can't like them no matter how hard I try. They bore the hell out of me. And i have read some chapters of the novel and it is not like this. So I am saying poor execution on screen. That's it.

UM NO. I am a fan of Omegaverse and I despise this series because it isn't capturing the essence of Omegaverse. I could care less about the author, the nepotism, who the actors are, or anything else. I was actually really excited for this series and was greatly anticipating it before I saw it!

All I care about is that it has portrayed the Omegaverse as a whole POORLY. There is meant to be high powered sexual tension in every scene, angst that can be felt in the very air, ect. Just like in every novel, even the novel it is based off of, and it is not coming through on the screen. It has been toned-down and the more I watch it the more I feel like it's been censored down to the bare minimum so that even the actors are stiff and uncertain what to do in their roles. I don't feel like it's bad acting but poor direction as a whole. It feels like they said 'let's do Omegaverse and keep in all the ideas that make it Omegaverse without following through and showing it properly on the actual screen!' Anything that is nonsexual (making an alpha kneel from a wave of pheromones for example) or the particular scents an omega lets off, ect. has been kept in. But anything that makes it sexual or edgy or TRULY Omegaverse at its heart is briefly mentioned and/or sort of thrown to the background.

For example WHAT WAS THAT HEAT?! People have been praising the portrayal but it honestly makes me wonder if they've read a single omegaverse about an omega going into heat. Nothing was shown on the screen to tell me this character was experiencing heightened arousal and need. Nor did he appear to be affecting any Alphas while buying that medicine at the store and leaking pheremones all over the place while claiming to be Beta. He looked sick, he was not acting like a true Omega in heat. I honestly thought he was sick from withdrawal from not taking the medicine until a character mentioned the heat. Which leads me to another point, I haven't seen a single character engage in sexual activity despite it being described in the books as going on. Yes, they have kissed but that's it. For example the S Alpha at the club his friend says one sentence about him fulfilling his alpha urges and sleeping with omegas but that's it. I mean, alphas and omegas in every novel are always shown as highly sexual because of their nature, touching, feeling, ect. Where is that shown in this drama?! It's not. It's mentioned but not SHOWN. Characters even make little jibs about the sexual things but IT ISN'T SHOWN. That is what they messed up the most. There is lots of other things messed up but that is standing out to me the most. This might not be being released in China but it still feels just like a censored china production tbh. And it's painfully obvious if you understand what you are looking for. Those who don't understand the vibe and feel of Omegaverse that I am talking about should watch the first episode of Pit Babe. (Yes I know Pit Babe is not really Omegaverse but it captured the VIBE and FEEL of Omegaverse that I've seen in every novel portrayal EVEN without having all of the proper terms and abilities of Omegaverse beings, BUT the overall vibe of it would help people understand what Desire should feel like but doesn't!)

I don't mean Pit Babe captured the universe correctly because they absolutely did not, I meant they captured the VIBE of Omegaverse correctly, which is a huge difference. The vibe of every Omegaverse novel I've ever read has high intense sexual, and emotional scenes plastered throughout. And I don't just mean pure sex, I mean actual feel it in the air sexual tension or even just angsty tension. It feels like your nerves are on edge reading it. This is like watching an ordinary boy love with omegaverse concepts told to us and shown minimally but not followed through on.

And I watched this week's and it somehow got even more boring if that was possible. And what is wild is ordinary boy love's even from China don't usually bore me like this. I can't even explain it, it's just so boring!

I was so excited for this show, I know you think I'm just hating to hate but I was actually so excited for this! And I am honestly just so disappointed that they made it like this! Because a lot of times when someone makes the first of something it sets the standard for other similar productions. It is the same with BL's the original BLs set the standard and tropes of what we still see over and over again, today (good or bad) so, this one being untrue to Omegaverse as a whole is a potential standard-setting disaster that will have ripple effects for years to come. So, it is devastating. tbh. In so many ways, because now, everyone who knows nothing about Omegaverse at all but is praising this, is going to expect everything that follows to be this way. It's just so sucky.

MY POINT EXACTLY! She's a supposedly billionaire but she only gave it 3 million and some of that was investors?! posjvisdjvopsjovpds Talk about not understanding what HOLLYWOOD level means! She wanted it to be like Hollywood she should have researched how much Hollywood movies cost, or even how much mainland China high end movies cost! Cause this ain't it!

THIS! I WAS BORED ALL THE WAY THROUGH! I'm not even kidding! I was watching it like ....??????? GIVE ME SOMETHING! Some action or something! BUt nope! MORE BORING DRAGGING PLOTLINES OF TALKING THAT NEVER END! ALSO I looked up the novel and based off where they are in the plot, we still have SEVERAL episodes until we see the impregnation. Or I'm sorry, the book actually skips the impregnation altogether and we just see him wake up confused and pregnant. >.> IF I DIDN'T HAVE A FRIEND TO RANT WITH THIS ABOUT, I would be dropping it too! BUt I'm watching just to see how lame it can get tbh!

THIS! Thank you thank you! I felt practically alone in my hatred of these portrayals! I see people throwing them up on Social media & praising the portrayals but I'm just sitting here like ... THIS IS NOT LIKE ANY OMEGAVERSE I HAVE EVER READ! Hell even Pit Babe did better and they weren't true Omegaverse! But they got the rowdiness/angstiness necessary to make it BELIEVABLE!

I don't know anything about the budget for Revenged Love. ABO Desire is the one that supposedly has the same budget as The Next Prince which could be true considering the need for special effects.

I don't know what is going on with everyone else (I am thinking most of this comment section is BL fans and not true Omegaverse fans) but those of us who know Omegaverse realize that this is NOT it lol!

This is not at all how Omegaverse feels period. Watch Pit Babe, that's how Omegaverse feels. This show is getting so much wrong about it and no one is voicing it but me and like two other people in these comments! I even read some chapters of the novel and even the novel had way better descriptions/themes/elements than what is being shown on the screen!

As a lover of Omegaverse, I have been disappointed by it, tbh.
A few of us who like Omegaverse are, despite the really loud people saying this was amazing >.>

I'm not asking for sex but for the tone and vibe of Omegaverse. Pit Babe feels like Omegaverse (even without fully leaning into the genre they captured the vibe of it perfectly). This does not feel like Omegaverse. It isn't just about the sex it's about the fact that the characters are not behaving like omegas and alphas. I actually went and read chapters from the novel just to see if this is the vibe in the book and they cut out all of the tension as well as the sensual stuff!!!! In the novel it explicitly says that Hua and Sheng have done everything aside from going all the way (including getting each other off) by the time Hua tells him that he can't have full intercourse in episode 3. Yet, in the show they have barely kissed by that point. They claimed this would be an uncensored production but it's already being censored everyone is just too blind to see it. I guess ...? Because I have seen people claiming it is a carbon copy of the novel and that's not true, at all. For example the scene where Hua tells the Alpha he can't have sex, he is supposed to have just given him a massage ... also something they cut out. It's little moments like that that make it feel more omegaverse. And the author even described the tension and angst of the alpha having to hold himself back when near to Hua but we don't see any of that struggle on screen. Omegaverse always has high sexual undertones even when there is nothing sexual happening but this doesn't have that, either.

When you read Omegaverse it is always very sensual, highly emotional, you can feel the tension the angst, everything between the characters but I'm not seeing that between any of the characters. It's like the actors are saying their lines while formal and stiff as a board. I really wanted to love this show! I was excited for it and I am not usually this picky when it comes to anything but I was genuinely shocked with how completely flat it feels! I feel like I am watching an ordinary BL with some mild omega alpha tropes thrown in.
