I have watched and like many straight romance shows and I am happy when others enjoy them. Now this person here "Gomen" is degrading people because they have a different taste. "Gomen" is hating on people for liking a genre where two people fall in love, no more and no less. So many are supporting this stance (likes), but (ignoring the premise of this kdrama), can't you jouet be respectful and accept that different people like different things and that is okay? I don't understand where all this malice is coming from. Love what you love, love who you love and don't degrade people for liking different things, isn't it as easy as that? .... If you don't agree with that then you must realise your statement is void of reason. Queer people can enjoy heterosexual shows and straight people can like queer shows. And have you ever thought about the fact that all these "despicable" straight girls just really can't identify with the insufferable female leads in dramas? Woman are always weaker or poorer or have to be protected in some way. There is no predetermined dynamic in BL shows, no relationship role is forced on them simply because of their gender. This enables a totally different viewing experience than straight shows.

And also you're generalizing BL fans. I mean have you ever seen Kpop fans? They can go absolutely crazy, but in the end that doesn't apply to every Kpop fan, the same goes for BL fans.

I was actually not enjoying it too much, but when Hayakawa started crying and they were hugging that really touched me, it felt so genuine and real, wow. It was really a beautiful confession ❤️

I think it's less about physical strength (muscles ect), but the power comes from "pheromones", so you have to imagine strength/power more like a "superpower" that is invisible to the naked eye. So how they physically look is kind of irrelevant, their power is "supernatural". You can't really apply our standards of strength here, because the whole series plays in an alternative universe.

It has to be. People are constantly on the verge of death or apparently dead and then pop up 100% fine, this would honestly be too much. Like how tf do you put someone in jail when there is no dead body? (referring to sun "killing" Kong). And why would Kong just hide away and do nothing to help sun or show he's alive??! Hua Yong is doing some kind of push and pull to reel in Sheng Hao. Everything he does is like an elaborate plan to make Sheng Hao Fall for him & mark him so they're exclusively bound for life. He talks about making food on purpose that Sheng Hao doesn't like, as if to test him. Then he suddenly stops, makes up a "sad" story as to why he cannot make cookies anymore. Also the apartment situation didnt seem true (it looke like the woman who rented out the apartment was annoyed that he moved out so quickly). And who was that "friend" he was apparently staying with?

So no, I'm sure Hua Yong is using Secretary Gaotus Situation for himself and there is no mistake or plothole... something is going on.

The question is why is Hua Yong doing this? For who? Does he want to tear down Sheng Haos company? Who is Hua Yong really?

Hmmm, I watched the first two episodes and I'm not sure how I feel about this. It's not really giving me something ✨new✨. The actors are really cute (I really like Mashiros eyes (Hori Natsuki)), but the chemistry between the two MLs hasn't really hit me. The story isn't wowing me, although very much like the locations (the coffeeshop is sooo gorgeous, I think my current favourite character is the coffee shop owner 🥺😂).Anyway, maybe I'm being impatient, too critical? Can't say, but I'll be continuing on so I can find an answer 🫶.

Well that might be true, but the irony is, it isn't even supposed to be aired in China 😂. So all the potential cigarette consumers who should be converted to smoking Marlboro aren't even supposed to see the marketing lol. (Guess they're watching it "illegally" anyway, I'm just saying).

Do you perhaps know if people in China are less critical of smoking? Like it's not viewed upon as something negative, is it more like a neutral attitude toward smoking?

Anyway, I just found it interesting, because I feel like most other series I've watched always show smoking as a bad/undesirable habit, but this one kind of "glorifies" it as being cool.
I'm not really a fan of that, but well, I'm accepting it as part of the story/characters.

I had the exact same question and it was probably buried somewhere in the comment section so I'll answer it for you: yes they are. They sometimes switch to Cantonese although it's mostly mandarin. I personally got confused when I heard the mother speak and as it turns out she speaks Cantonese & the son also replied in Cantonese.
It's a bit of a mix... Slightly strange, but I think it plays in Honkong so, ... it kind of makes sense? idk.
Anyway, the confusion was valid ;)

It's a bit of a shame that they didn't put in more effort, I mean it must be especially noticeable for Thai viewers (like you), so it is a bit weird that the (Thai!) production team didn't really care. Maybe they just didn't want to hurt the actors feelings by repeating and correcting him the whole time? Could have been a time problem. I don't know...

I mean it's not super important, but it would have made Peace's acting more natural...
If he does more Thai productions in the future I hope he'll get a bit more practice.

And yes! I also don't understand why there wasn't more help with the pronunciation. As you said: Thai is phonetic, so the pronunciation is really important. Maybe they didn't have much time/resources (and it's not the most important part of the series), but I think it would have benefitted Si Hyeon as well.
And I agree on the Korean part, when he speaks in his native language he feels more authentic/natural. He is able to concentrate on portraying emotion rather than focusing on his speaking...

I have seen an interview where it was very obvious that he wasn't really able to speak Thai, I was wondering more about the accent, because it sounds veeery thick to me.
I remember watching this one drama where the teacher was teaching my native language and I did not understand ANYTHING! Like literally nothing lol. And apparently the student was able to understand and answer the question, it was way too funny 😂.
I was kind of wondering if it's the same here, in the sense: Peace is speaking Thai and everyone is nodding along and answering his questions, but in reality people (like native Thai people) are having a really difficult time understanding what he is saying...

Question to any Thai speaking viewers (I've been wondering for a while now): How understandable/good/bad is Peaces Thai? Like can you understand him well or just barely? I mean I don't speak Thai, but the accent is already very obvious to me. I don't mind at all and like that Peace is putting in the effort to speak Thai, but I'm still curious to know as to how well Peace is able to speak.
