This series proves that hugs are underestimated. They're literally so cute and heartwarming and comforting. Just in general cuddling or hugging is missing in many BLs (or romance shows in general). Like please, these hugs feel so vulnerable but loving, I just can't!!! I really, really love this series. The leads are kind and compassionate to each other, they communicate, they are honest and understanding. This is what I need and I'm so glad someone was "daring" to finally throw out the most common BL/romance tropes out of the window. We've seen all of them already, they're not as exciting anymore...
Rooting for these two and can't wait for next week 🫶✨

I think it goes beyond what @Dunks god-sculpted face said. I think they're right about Mei being angry about being left behind, but I think the reason she ist still angry is, because Sun keeps getting involved in the gang/mafia scene. As in, she sees no point in revenge and hates the fact that Sun is involved with the mafia gangs to avenge his father. She doesn't want him to risk going to prison again for something, that in her eyes, is futile. She wants him to stop fighting and finally settle down so she doesn't have to worry about him leaving anymore. That's how I interpreted it...

I am slightly confused. Is the virus a metaphor for homosexuality and how people view it in society? In the sense that people think it's an illness and fear they can "catch" it? And our ML is hiding in the dark, in other words is still "in the closet"? But the truth is it's internalised homophobia (virus) and the ML has to overcome this idea to finally be free?

Yes, I agree, the killing was suspicious as hell. Why would he do that? And also (I know they're in the mafia scene), but getting rid of a body can't be that easy now can it? It probably won't pose a problem further on, but I'm just saying...I also think resolving this issue with the obvious "it must've been Madam Yao" makes no sense. She's "the most obvious" suspect and the main story is about Sun finding out who killed his father, revealing this now and so easily doesn't make sense. So I think you're right, Mr. Joe has to be the culprit, it also explains why he tries to keep Sun close and "lures" him in by promising him the truth that he will never reveal. And yesss, omg, I need more, the episoded are way too short, I can't wait another week 🥲...

Thank you recommending it to me! I'll definitely check it out when it airs, although (as mentioned) it's the more "typical" Christian & homosexual conflict (not islam & LGBTQ). Still it looks very promising and I'm looking forward to how they display and resolve the conflict...

Interesting... quite short and independent/low budget, but interesting premise. It deals with the topic of religion and homosexuality, it only manages to hint at the conflict (time is too short), but I enjoyed the idea. I also haven't ever really seen the concept of portraying a homosexual love between someone Muslim and another non-religious person (I've generally only seen this as a conflict in connection to Christianity).
I'd definitely love to see a bigger production dealing with religion and accepting different sexualities. Considering this was so short and didn't have many resources to work with it was pretty decent 🫶

That's good to hear. I honestly feel a bit guilty about not rating the show so well, I don't necessarily want to avert other people from watching it, but I truly didn't really enjoy it. I felt awkward watching it and was so surprised that I just started giggling.

I agree that experimenting is good, but I feel like the musical theme didn't work well for the short amount of time they had. We need them to actually talk, have conversations for the story to develop
The songs took up so much time compared to the talking/active acting in my opinion...

The story is cute the main couple is slowly developing, but I personally prefer the 2nd couple. The mains just feel a bit stiff, like no real romantic tension (chemistry). The scenes at Minwoos home just felt awkward and not heart fluttering to me...
I think I'll put this on hold and watch it when it's finished and I don't know what to watch...

Honestly that was one of the few things I was shocked about aswell. People can do bad things and should face punishment, but the punishment is BEING IN PRISON, it's being unfree, not being allowed to go where you want to, do the things when you want to, that is the punishment and it should not go beyond that. As you say, nothing justified rape, so I'm also disappointed that they "okeyed" it when someone we view as "bad" faces rape. It's never okay, so yeah, I wholeheartedly agree with you.

Yes, Same goes for me, but honestly I feel like it wasn't carried out well. Like the singing was so random and was very present, just a bit too much for the short amount of time. It felt too forced,... I also feel bad, cause the actors were trying their best with what they were given, but I just couldn't take this seriously.

I did too until I realised I would need to fast forward 80% of the movie 😂. Well, I had a good laugh...

I'm sure they could have done better, but I watched an interview with the two MLs on YouTube and Peaces actor actually only speaks very little Thai. He was learning the language for about 4 months apparently (unclear how much per day/week...). So maybe this also had to do with remembering lines/struggling to pronounce words. I don't mind it much, although I felt a little sad realizing Peaces actor probably didn't understand much on set and probably learned what was said in the scenes through beforehand translation.
Maybe they also wanted to show that Peace was trying to make sure Mei understands everything correctly, so instead of speaking Thai he uses an app to make it "more accurate" (bit of a weird idea, I'm just throwing it ou there).
Another thought I just had, is that maybe they just like to make it clear that Peace is Korean so they want him to have instances where he speaks in his native language.
Or there is no good explanation and they were lazy 😂

I didn't interpret it that way, I do agree that many motives are still quite unclear which makes it hard to see the story flow as one big entity. (Like, what does Mr. Joe and want? Why does he let Peace do so much stuff and then does not trust him at all and has him "stalked"? Why ist Madam Yao hiding away? What is Sun's ultimate goal? What will happen to Mei's story? What are Sun & his gang exactly doing for Mr. Joe?...) Sometimes writers try to hide away all the "big ideas" to get a good element of surprise/plot twist, but it can make the viewers struggle to see the whole plotlines connecting into one.
And as said, I think you make valid points. Everyone sees a story differently and for some reason I'm just really enjoying this series so I'm a bit blind to some of its shortcomings 😂. Like even if I see them, I don't care, I'm going to watch this from start to finish 😅😂.
