No I didn't. That's the point. His "heel turn" isn't justified based on what we knew about his character from the beginning.
If they were gonna make him a villain - they needed to better to set that up. There was no indication that he felt truly suffocated by or was jealous of his Uncle for any reason. "Losing" a woman who he willingly let go, to protect his future, is now a good enough reason to burn it all down?
It's poor writing. Same thing Blossom did with the brother.
I hate it when C-dramas take a character and give him a complete heel turn with only the thinnest of motivations to justify the complete 180 of the character.
Blossom did this with the brother and irked the hell out of me. This show is doing it with the nephew. I had more to write, but decided against it for now.
It's just poor writing and isn't unique to this series.
Also with 40 episodes they STILL managed to mess up the pacing.
Come on now. You know that's not true. Yeah, the kissing isn't great but saying they don't have chemistry is wild
Sexual chemistry between people are supposed to be in love is not odd or out of the ordinary to expect.
You need to deal with your own sexual hangups and leave them out of the convo being had. It is odd that these two have no passion b/c they have other types of chemistry.
No one is expecting Brdgerton levels of sex scenes from a C-drama.
Curiously, if there's kissing, people complain that it's not real enough; if there isn't, they complain that there…
I'm not complaining about the kissing scenes.
I'm pointing out their overall lack of sexual chemistry and the awkward kissing plays a role in that.
I don't "want something more". I'm talking about what's there and how I find it odd that people with such great chemistry elsewhere have zero sexual spark.
Where did I say I want "steamy scenes"? You can have "steamy scenes" and no sexual chemistry (see last series of Bridgerton) - which reminds me the last season of Bridgerton was like this as well. Leads had good chemistry elsewhere - and they were decent kissers - but when it was time for the steamy stuff...nope complete dud.
Your sexual hangups aside...having sexual chemistry is "made for TV." - Once again, I watch a lot of C-Dramas they are about as chaste as they can be. No one is watching these for anything steamy.
What? Their sexual chemistry is literally goosebumps chemistry it's so good. It's always funny to me how people…
Where did I say there was heat between the FL and YX?
I've never shipped them.
And those two have chemistry too, but it's more brother sister energy. My stance has always been if his circumstances were different he'd realize what he felt for Jin Chao wasn't love but admiration and respect.
He made a choice..a smart one...so his flipping out later doesn't align with what we know about him.
Like I said...the THINNEST of rationales which doesn't jibe with how we're introduced to the character.
NONE of that is reason for hsi current unhinged behavior.
He's terribly written.

Rushed ending incoming.
SMH.

It's a C-Drama...who is expecting R-rated material?
You're making arguments I'm not making.
Let's stick to the topic at hand.
Okay
That's stressing me out.
lol
