So episodes 11 thru 15/16 look like they are gonna be a steep learning curve for the young couple. We'll see how well they fair. Also why on Godd's green earth did he choose Ganlin town? lol

lol. I don't agree with that sentiment. But a girl can hope. Last few c-dramas I've attempted have been duds. Couldn't stick the ending or got bogged down in the middle. I'm hoping for the best here!

They are married ruling the country is the gist of it. Another commenter went into more detail, but it is the type of ending you'd expect for this type of drama.

I didn't read the novel and the ending was trash. If it's giving love story you put the leads together in the end. I don't need my imperial dramas to be feminist manifestos. I need marriage, power and babies. Understand your audience and genre.
