So Empress Dowager thought switching the brides would keep each side in check? She thought Ye Li was too smart and could potentially give Mo Jingli the wrong ideas? I don't think the sister is good for anyone...so it was more about Ye Li - assuming putting her with a cripple recluse would neutralize any threat she might be.
So what is Prince Li's backstory, book readers. I know they've changed his story from the book - but they said he's the son of a "former crown prince" - what happened there?
I've seen some clips of YL being blind, does anyone knows what happens? I'm also dying to know why MXY gets white…
In the official MV for the show - they show them old (?) living in the mountains? I wonder what that was about? Do they abandon everything and do the whole go off into the country (mountains) bit?
Wonder how tragic they are gonna make these last episodes.
Not enough time left to truly deal with all the various issues they've set up - but am curious are we gonna go they get to be happy (present day) in the last 15-20 minutes of ep. 14 route.
I'm assuming a happy for at least one version of the couple, so curious to see how much they gonna drag out the pain.

Disagree b/c there is no reason to send her back otherwise. We've already seen him win and her death. What's the point of sending her back - to see her die again? So - don't think that's k-drama logic. We know how her story ends in the past. They seem to be giving her a bit of rebirth/second chance here type thing. This isn't a straight reincarnation drama. So your "kdrama logic" which I don't entirely agree with if I were being honest - doesn't really apply.

That's fair. But I'm hoping they deal with evil brother in both timelines. Now he (Grand Prince) could die in the process so they never get to be together in the past (very K-Drama-y lol) - but I think they get him in both timelines.
I am guess a massacre happened in the academy and she's the only survivor and that's why monkeys attacked her...…
Yeah I think the same. They made a point of showing how dilapidated and abandoned the whole place looked when she was running from the monkeys. It looked like no one had been there in ages. The bother's call back to the capital definitely has something to with the academy - it's been said as much - we see her saying they owe him for what he did for the academy. Timeline is odd tho - don't think it was the time of the possible massacre b/c she wasn't locked in the mountain yet - but something happened that he helped the academy that ultimately cost him his life.

I agree BUT they seem to be playing fast and loose with the reincarnation trope anyway. What I mean is, it's kinda a soul takeover turned reincarnation - lol - so maybe we get two happy endings and their souls just continue to find each other b/c they are destined w/o the needed trauma.
So - let's just be honest - we all thought (hoped) we were gonna go the whole series w/o seeing the "real" Seori. But that's unrealistic for this type of drama.
It's clearly a reincarnation situation - and the most likely ending is Dansim + Grand Prince and Segye + Seori when she regains her memories once Dansim is back in Joeson.
Now they could subvert this trope (and part of me kinda hopes they do) - BUT this is the most likely ending (assuming we get a happy one). Like I said in another comment - if you've seen Destined With You - it's that type of thing.
Ig it is bcz her expression changes whenever Linshan and the teachers are mentioned..
She also subtly changes her story about people/the school depending on who she's talking too. Sometimes there is food. Sometimes there is no food. Sometimes people are smart. Sometimes they are lazy and dumb. She's lying a lot - the question is why. And right now I think something happened and they are all (or mostly) dead.

Such a silly, stupid, arrogant, a$$.
