Sigh. Did you read what I wrote or did you just respond? I said no one was complaining about them not being together in PART ONE. Which I wasn't. There was literally no reason to keep them a part for another 17 episodes.

It's a c-drama. There is no scenario where it will be "open and over the top". I don't have a superficial understanding of romance. You just have a very limited one.

It's definitely full of bad cliches. Just say you don't like more physical romance between leads. It's 49 episodes in...it's okay for some kissing at this point.

32 episodes. 32 episodes of hem growing over time. Then another 17 - exactly how much growth did you think they needed?

Dude. You'd have a point if it hadn't been 49 episodes. 32 episodes in and most folk were cool with where there relationship was. No one (very few at least) was really complaining about them not being together. As a matter of fact most liked that it was a mature relationship that grew over time. Some of you just have weird hangups about physical intimacy and think it's cheap when it is a normal and healthy part of any relationship. Also, they've been married since last season...so...

Those were all my speculations from released clips. Not exactly spoilers since I'm playing a guessing game on clips that are available to everyone.

Yeah. That's what it looks like. There might possibly be some sort of time jump between the divorce and when he goes to see her on the boat. Looks like he hadn't seen her in a bit.

By the definition laid out in the show they aren't together b/c he's actively pushing her away and hasn't confessed his feelings. Heck even Xue is like "What's taking you so long, buddy" - if the characters know they aren't together, how don't you?

You don't have to make excuses for poor writing and character development. It is a romance - they just decided to go though 50 miles worth of obstacle course before they put them together for no good reason.

Also the possible demotion/house arrest allows him to still work behind the scenes with no eyeballs on him - at least that's what it looks like from one of the clips.

Well, all the sexy stuff looks like it happens *after* the divorce.

New clips out and what do we learn:

1. Looks like JCY is demoted - no gold belt.
2. House arrest?
3. Divorce
4. She's leaving town...(tho I think she ends up staying).
5. Consummation happens *after* divorce
6. Gold belt is back in scene with candles.

Those are the big things the clips seem to suggest.

I think these last 9 episodes will change that. They really should have just done a 40 episode season and wrapped it up with FP.

What I want to know is how she gets away from Liu Chang? Does that stab happen early, if so does she avoid jail b/c he's now a traitor????

So someone mentioned episode 18. There's a banquet, Ning and his people attack, JCY manages to get the emperor out but gets caught in the process.
