There is no one mentioned except him. So I kind of think he is the top dude. The drama kinds of showcased or tried…
Yeah. I agree. He just doesn't seem like he's *really* in charge. I don't know how to explain it...he just seems so casual and accessible and just out and about in a way you wouldn't expect from the Prime Minister.
my theory :the baby king will still end up as king in the end. prince ian and huiju will get married and leave…
Hmmm...don't know about that. I think the point is for him to end up King. Maybe he steps down when his nephew is older...so we get a time jump. But I don't see him not being king at all.
So is Prime Minister Min the leader of the country - just being clear he's the head guy? "Cause he doesn't seem like it - he just feels so casual. Like is there a Prime Minister/President type situation - or is he the top dude.
My only major complaint with this show is the editing is a little choppy. That could definitely improve. However the pacing is very good. Act 2 is starting off well. Hopefully they stick the landing.
In order for Yi An to become king the current young king would have to either abdicate or die. It will be extremely…
And yes...all male children would have claim to the throne. But if a concubines son was born first...and then the legitimate wife had a son second...that legitimate son would leapfrog the concubines son for lineage purposes.
For whatever reason that premarital baby line isn't a throwaway one. Whether she lied about being pregnant to get the King to marry her or the baby was conceived before marriage (potential scandal even if not directly a lineage issue) it is something that will likely come back in the show.

Once again. I said I didn't know if this was an issue with Korean lineage or no...but I *do* know that different places handled this diff...which is what I said initially.

Monastic and noble rules when it comes to lineage tend not be the same as those for the general population. And this has been a story line in historical romances I've watched before. When the child is conceived tends to matter in this context.
When you're not really happy about the preview for episode 5 because of the marriage contract being called off,…
I think his response was correct. He genuinely cares for her and doesn't want her in danger for a hollow title. She's also correct. You don't bend to these fools. He's done that enough. She needs him to soften some of those edges. He needs her so he can become the King he was meant to be.
Yeah. I was wondering that too. Where they saying he has a diff mom than his older brother?
And part of me thinks maybe he could beat the ambition out of him? Like he obviously outshone the CP at every turn - likely from youth - so he hated b/c he was everything his brother wasn't. I don't know. His hate for his son seemed really, REALLY personal.
1. Ol'girl is gonna have to stop acting like marrying Ian doesn't come with rules. Learn the things you need to learn so they can't attack you from that angle. That part of her personality is irking me a bit.
2. Ian is gonna have to learn from her that he's gonna have to *break* some rules for this to work. Baby stepping it like they want means too many opportunities for things to go left. You're gonna have to stay at your house, take her to state events, you gotta elevate her status with the public from "girlfriend" to "potential wife" and quickly so no can argue with you. He's irking me too.
I expect everyone to get it together in Act 2. lol
