There is no good relationship stuff after episode 12. I know they get together but Mudan is a plum fool to be with a man after that mess in 12. Can't respect it - character just seems like a Big Dummy to me after that.

This. I've seen the preview and I'm like how are they even in the same space this find. Unless there's a months long time jump (and I doubt there is) this makes no sense.

I can't even properly hate watch the show b/c the subtitles are so bad. lol/smh. I can't suffer through bad subtitles AND disappointment. Pick a lane. lol/smh

Okay can you explain to me in a spoiler tag what is supposed to happen vs. what happened in Are You The One. I just started it and haven't fully committed to it yet. Like, he's blatantly lying to her so it seems like some groveling would be necessary later if he truly wanted forgiveness.

Oh you are correct. There is NO forgiving what he did - I'm not even what the writers were thinking there. It's completely and unequivocally unforgivable which is why it's such a HORRIBLE story line.

Eh...you don't have to forgive someone to move on. lol. I feel a lot of that thought process is about convincing people to absolve those who've done them wrong. I have people I've cut out of my life. I don't forgive them, but I don't think about them either. As you said too many dramas want you to forgive AND love the person in 2.3 business days. lol

Potato Lab and Tastefully Yours come to mind. Like both cases the ML did some god awful thing - and in both cases the FL at least needed some time (months) to process things and make decisions - but nope a couple of "I'm sorry" later (and other folks in the series encouraging them to forgive) and it's all good. Like...what are we doing???

So recently there's been this trend with both K and C dramas where the ML will do the most HORRENDOUS thing to the FL and she's expected to forgive (and does) in a few episodes. And I can't help but think at this point it's some weird sort of propaganda to remind women of their "place".

I'm not gonna lie. After the shock of the confession I was chuckling at how absurd he looked standing there with a knife in his chest giving a speech. SMH. 2nd season they were like we're gonna give ya'll ALL the drama tropes Chinese AND Korea. lol/smh

This was me. I had a permanent "WTF" face" and all I kept saying was "I Can't Believe This Sh*t". SMH.

My man didn't even say "My Bad". Like how I'm supposed to forgive that and let it go. I don't get he point to this. Mudan the Saint I guess.
