I think they faked the premarital pregnancy to force the crown prince to marry the queen mother and Ian clearly…
WHAAT?? They were dating - why would it have to be drugged? I hope you don't mean the father-in-law. lol

The preview for episode 5 now seems to be starting the dramatic part of the drama, since the first 4 episodes…
12 episode - Act 2 should start at episode 5. Hopefully they continue to pace this well.

In order for Yi An to become king the current young king would have to either abdicate or die. It will be extremely…
Hmm...different places have different rules about that.

This. I'm not saying he is Ian's child - I'm saying he was conceived prior to marriage with the former King which (I beleive) would make him ineligible for the throne.

No. I don't think the child is Ian's (that's just fun level of crazy thought) - I'm saying I think she was pregnant by the former King before she was married.

I noticed all that wordplay too and felt it was foreshadowing something big. But, I can’t make out what.
Yeah. They seem friendly. And they laughed and what not. But the whole episode was a whole lot of under current and brinkmanship between those two.

Ep 4 made me a bit sad as we were seeing how restrictive royal life is. It makes marrying royalty look somewhat…
Agree. Unless you are born and bred for that life, or just shamelessly after power, doesn't look like it would be worth it at all.

I wonder if Ian let's Prime Minister Min win at chess? That little line of his was slick about if he did whatever he wanted the country would collapse. Ian didn't seem to take a offense - but it was slick none the less. It will be interesting to see what happens when Ian becomes more assertive.

I wonder if FL is aware she won’t be able to run a business after marriage? 🤔
For her it isn't a long term deal so...

I think the pre-marital pregnancy isn't fake and the brother told Ian (Queen mother not knowing) and technically I beleive that makes the young Majesty ineligible for the throne. Should be Ian's.

Does she feel any guilt about her husband’s death? Did she actually start the fire and leave? Was her constantly…
I have all the same questions and agree with you about the portrayal of the Queen Mother.

Oh, is the picture of the woman she said she wanted to know more about our FL?

Couldn't really tell.

Backstory on the former King, Grand Prince's father is interesting. He had to see is first born wasn't cut out to be King, but instead of elevating his status to Crown Prince, clung stubbornly to tradition and forced Grand Prince to dim his shine.

I would understand if she had proof that Yi An was somehow plotting to stay on the throne but he's not even doing…
It's her pride that's eating her alive. She was groomed to be Queen so of course she married the Crown Prince, but little did she know he didn't have what it takes to be King. His brother did. And she fears her son is like his father.

The Queen Mother is gonna burn it all down (unintentionally) b/c she married the wrong brother and her son seems more like his father. The jealousy and her pride are eating her alive. SMH.
