On another note...we're running low on runway. This really should have been a 60 episode series (damn that rule) I'm worried they are gonna do that c-drama thing where the leads have like 3 episodes where there isn't lying, misunderstanding, drama or separation.

The one thing this series does right is the quiet power of Yan Zheng/Xie Zheng. Because he has real power, as a commoner, even when people act like they are above him, he never reacts. He's always calm and collected, because regardless of who he is pretending to be, he is always who he is.

I used "dumb" to describe how her character is portrayed sometimes. Sometimes being the operative word. No, I was saying dumb wasn't too harsh to describe her at times b/c it was accurate. Her being an orphaned village girl doesn't mean she has to be "dumb." That's the complaint. Not that she's portrayed as dumb all the time.

She's not in the dark about who the Strategist is and his role in the war. She's very clear on that.

But as I've said in this thread, if the prince food exchange plays out like it seems it would...that's an example of being a dummy. You know the Strategist. You don't think for a second to run it by him before you do anything? You're just a pretty, dumb, brute who can't think things through for a second?
