This is NOT a good reason. lol/smh. This only works if the father was the one who was targeted. Not her mom. SMH. And that's still a strong maybe. It still just ends up being an unnecessary story line that ruins the show and keeps the couple a part.

Not everyone. That's a misconception. She's sympathetic to those who she recognize feel trapped and desperate (Shengyi, The concubine, The brother), but not those who she feels are malicious and abusing their power (Her ex-in-laws, her ex-husband, the county Princess, Shengyi's husband).

There is no good relationship stuff after episode 12. I know they get together but Mudan is a plum fool to be with a man after that mess in 12. Can't respect it - character just seems like a Big Dummy to me after that.

This. I've seen the preview and I'm like how are they even in the same space this find. Unless there's a months long time jump (and I doubt there is) this makes no sense.
