Same. Nowadays for the longer series, I'll watch the first 5. Watch the midpoint episode. Then watch the last 5, and only go back and watch the filler episodes if necessary. lol

lol. You know that's what's gonna happen. Or they become a couple - then he disappears for God & Country - then after battle is won when get an episode 24 of their happily ever after. Total of 2-3 whole episodes of them being a couple. Ha!

Honestly I thought it was cute. He's the Flower and Bird Envoy OF COURSE his confession would be over the top. I think it was very on brand for the character. Remember if she would have let him she would have had the grandest of grandest weddings just as a concubine. lol

No, we're gonna get the "Sacrifices himself for the good of the country" trope and they will be separated for a minute. lol We getting 3 episodes of them as a couple. lolsmh

Also be prepared for when they finally make the marriage real - for them to be separated and then in true c-drama fashion, the last 5 episodes will have all the action. lol

That would be fine if they were together and we were seeing business related things. But we aren't. And so it's just pain. No enjoyment.

I've been saying they were gonna wait 'till midesason of season 2 at the earliest. There's nothing c-drama writers like more than to cause their characters (and audience) pain and suffering. lol

Come on In the Name of Blossom. If I wanted 50 episodes of pain I'd rewatch the Imperial Doctress. SMH.

I just rewatched the first five episodes...I feel like he might have been a guest at the flower banquet...but I'd have to pause it to look closely at everyone's face. ..though like you my impression was that he was new to season 2.
