chu zhao is like one of those men that can never take a hint and mistake a woman acting nice with attraction lol he yan is polite and nice to him but she has never showed even a hint of romantic interest towards him, he's delusional

her speech to chu zhao in ep 21 is sooo good. chu zhao always speaks so condescending to her, which is especially weird considering that his servant is also a woman trained to fight. I'm glad He Yan isn't just a character who's "different from other girls" but she aknowledges her privilege in the freedom she has and she's working for all women to get that same freedom

not gonna lie, i think they're giving too much attention to the princess and master love story

i liked this show from the beginning but the latest episodes are definitely on a whole other level, i was crying at the end of ep 17 :(( i love them together

finished watching ep 9 and i'm getting a bit confused as to why he's not focusing more on the "I'm the ghost of the one you killed" part... her explanation has nothing to do with it lol when he said Miss He i thought he had figured out that she was He Rufei's sister. anyway the chemistry is chemistrying, i hope we get some more romance scenes soon

nice first 4 episodes, i'm intrigued and will definitely keep watching. yeah she doesn't look like a man but we knew that already, an idol drama would never cast a beautiful actress like zhou ye and hide her face for half the show. i think the leads are doing well so far and i already like the chemistry, i'm looking forward to more episodes

i seriously think this is the best couple i've ever seen in a historical cdrama. such a good show
