Solving problems together even when they're not side by side is awesome. Unfortunately, the princess hasn't suffered, yet.

Blaming a brother and a father for their sister and daughter's betrayal is unfair. Feng Xi Yang is not a teenager. She's in early 20, I guess, because she's older than Feng Cheng Yang. The princess does all that escape only for her own happiness.

She clearly states in episode 3, she wants at least once to live for herself. She knows her responsibility as Su Sha's princess. It's a foreshadowing of her secret feeling for the prince from the enemy kingdom.

She may be naive, but she's not stupid. She knows her brother and father will not agree to Jin Xiu's wedding proposal. However, without or with their blessings, she's made up her mind to marry that oh my savior prince looonng time before.

Xia Jing Shi is ready to go to war anytime. The one who wants peace is his brother, the emperor.

Feng Sui Ge didn't kill Xia Jing Shi because he didn't want to start the war. The imperial decree was to get them back to the palace, without harming the newly-weds.
