The good thing about this drama is Xu Yan and Qiao Lin's sisterhood. Qiao Lin supports yet warns her sister about her lies in her romance with Hao Ming. However, it never crosses her mind to snatch Xu Yan's wealthy fiance.
Xu Yan does the same. She supports Qiao Lin's feeling toward Yi Ming and helps her sister get closer to him. She sets boundaries between Yi Ming and herself to avoid any misunderstanding in the future.
On the other side, Fang Lei .... Well, let's not talk about her. LOL. We have too many C-dramas with a woman snatches her sister's husband trope.
To trust your loved one after he/she constantly lying is almost impossible. It's easy for viewers to say Xu Yan is genuine, but Hao Ming doesn't see what we see. From his POV, she's acting.
They are adults. Both can peacefully talk when they're ready. However, Xu Yan and Hao Ming are victims of both lies. So, hoping for Hao Ming to crawl and beg is too much. Even Xu Yan won't want to see that.
If you are Xu Yan, would you give SHM a second chance?
It's not about giving Shen Hao Ming a second chance, but I won't reunite with him because he will never sincerely trust me after my lies.
