They are young couple, and the conflicts are suitable for them. The writers give us complicated palace plots in season 1 because it involves the emperor and his royal family. I guess they want to make it a bit lighter in season 2. But it's my opinion, though it's too early to judge the story is lighter. 😅 Something big may happen later. 🧐 Who knows?
