Xing Er pretended to accept the edict, but burned it after people of Xi Meng released from the abduction. She and Mu Ling fought the army together to get out of that camp, but surrounded by the soldiers.

Zhuge Yue helped them. He bargained with his grandfather: he'd return to Qing Shan Manor if he released Xing Er. After long argument, Mu Qing agreed, and died calling for Zhuge Yue who wanted to send Xing Er back to Xi Meng.

Zhuge Yue couldn't leave his father. He knew Yan Xun was coming to fight and he's meet Xing Er midway. Yan Xun stayed in Xing Er's camp, and mad at Zhuge Yue for letting his grandfather hurt her. 🙄🥱 Zhuge Yue left a letter for Xing Er and put it under the pillow, but Yan Xun took and burned it. 🙄🥱

Yan Xun tried his best to manipulate Xing Er to hate Zhuge Yue. He slandered Zhuge Yue, but Xing Er refused to believe it. He was so busy persuaded his obsession and was unaware of rebellion in his kingdom. 🙄🥱 General Huang and Cheng suppressed the rebellion and Ling's brother was executed because he was one of the rebels.

Zhuge Yue returned to Qing Shan Manor in the capital to beg the emperor to abolish organization and let the spies retired. The emperor agreed if he drank the poison he prepared. Then, came the evil 13th prince and acted like a child, provoke Zhuge Yue and Shi Yi. Shi Yi drank the poison when that evil prince force Zhuge Yue to drink it.

Zhuge Yue would do something to help his people in Qing Shan Manor. That was the end of episode 33.

It's a happy ending in the novel. Why it's a force to have a happy ending in the drama? Stop watching the drama if you don't like it. Your time is precious, you won't get it back, don't waste it.

Find the drama where the director gives you a satisfying ending you've dreamed of and the main role takes a perfect decision from the beginning through the end the way you want him/her to.

They won't rush the ending, but I know they will put many things before the end. That's my problem with this drama. I really wish they have more than 40 episodes or just cut that virus's scenes.
