You need to rewatch that scene. Cai Zhao couldn't argue back after Qing Yan said it was an accident and wasn't his intention. The saliva was in his body because of that experiment.

She didn't think it through before because she thought the saliva only for countering the Body Shift. That was why Cai Zhao was mad and vowed she wouldn't let him get the jade.

She was furious not solely because of the saliva, but because Qing Yan broke his promise. He vowed he wouldn't cultivate or practice that forbidden method long time ago (episode 3). So, yeah.

I agree with Qing Yan. No one in 6 sects investigates the massacre of Chang Fort. Yun Ke did and does nothing about it. He keeps on saying it was demon sect's doing but didn't investigate it. He blames demon sect but shows no evidence.

In episode 24, he arrived too long in Tai Chu Temple. It was enough to change his clothes and clean the blood in his hand and weapon. The obvious one was he accused Qing Yan without evidence, and ignored Cai Zhao's testimony as a witness.
