There’s someone in this comment section suggesting people who suffer from mental health issues should just skip professional help and go to friends and family for free. Because after all, therapist just sit and listen anyway.

This is my problem with the drama as well. Her disorder was its own character and they didn’t give it the respect it deserves. I’ve seen comments about how her treatment in the drama is close to real life. I’m sorry what? She didn’t have treatment. She had one tiny scene at the end where she was talking to a professional about her DID and that was it? It’s not nearly enough. They leaned too far into the love cures all and that infuriates me to no end.

It’s always in the preset with flashbacks and time jumps.

I was bothered by the lack of depth for her disorder too. I feel like they leaned heavy into the love cures all and I can’t stand that. I was happy to see a scene towards the end where she was talking to a professional but that was it? That small moment wasn’t enough. Her disorder was its own character and I think by doing that the writers should have paid more respect to what it takes to get treatment.

I struggled with the same conversation. I think he’s just misunderstanding her? But I’m not sure how and it’s never really brought up again. They just have a complicated relationship.

It’s been about 2 years for me too so I don’t fully remember either. Those moments where just laughable to me so they stood out. I hope you’re right though and she suspected he was a fraud all along. Maybe I’ll give it a rewatch soon. Going in with that assumption could be helpful.

I haven’t finished but I am struggling with how the overall message is playing out. There are mental health issues that are being explored which I’m a fan of, but if you gloss over them by giving a love cures all ending, that’s where I have a problem. Haven’t yet finished though so things could change.

LOL ahhhh That winter….blew. I wanted to love it, it was recommended everywhere and by everyone but man was that FL entirely too naive for me. I understand she was sheltered and what not but she was still old enough to have common sense. Asking the man that she thought was her brother to sleep in her bed with her and I think she’d ask him to teach her how to treat him like a man. I don’t have a brother and cultures differ but I mean, that’s just weird. It felt like badly written erotica for men 😂

You can rate a drama finished or not. Some rate episodes as they go and then give a final. It all depends on the user. I personally wait until I’m done to rate and that applies to dramas I drop if I think they were lacking.

It’s just now hitting the 12th hour since it’s been released. Some early finishes watch at an increased speed or skip scenes of the characters they don’t like.

Because the rating doesn’t update in real time. There was less than 90 ratings when it was 8.5. Now that they’ve (MDL servers I’m assuming) updated again that number changed and will continue to do so after so many hours.

I’m on episode 9 will easily finish today. I’ve not skipped any episodes or increased watch speed. I just planned well and in advance to make it a binge day.

I think because we have very little background info on him (I’m on episode 8), I can’t seem to understand who he is and it’s driving me nuts. He feels very hot and cold.

That conversation I thought was fine, the conversation outside the bookstore is what got me confused. I don’t understand what he was trying to do or say. We all know he likes her, but then he’s saying let’s never see each other again? I didn’t get it. Does he not know how the situation looked with the ex love interest? He knew the FL was making all the moves just to spend time with him. It just seemed weird.

Not sure where that’s coming from but I agree, I don’t want that either.
