I'm going to watch this. But kdramas have been so disappointing lately that I won't even expect much. I'll come and review it after.
And tbh, kdramas directors should stop adapting comics and write original scripts. And they should stop westernizing their dramas and bring the original Korean taste.
I was skeptical about this because of the body swap. They usually write it as the most normal thing that could ever happen apart from the shock the characters have after it happened. I really do not like it.
But this one was really good. It didn't last long, thankfully, and it benefited to the plot. The characters were so good, all of them. It's been a while since I last saw such a good cast in kdrama where all the characters, including the villains play their role so well.
They had good chemistry. And I was so glad they didn't make that second lady an evil character. And the SML was not entirely evil but he was not good, a flawed character with some goodness... yay.
Both the leads were good. no annoying arc, not whiny characters. No directed misogyny (but its bound to be there because of the era) and I liked the plot. I like the romance too, it was not forced. I thought it was the most beautiful thing considering their status, there's no need for a Cinderella plot.
Finished this after a lot of struggle and it was okay for me, not really the best as I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought i would.
The cases were not as intense, they were so dreadful instead of blowing my mind. Li Pei Yi was so stubborn to the point of annoyance, the only thing I liked about her is her martial arts and nothing else.
The romance was NOT convincing for me. It was a slow burn but I think it lacked something, their chemistry was definitely not as strong as I expected it would after acting in so many dramas together before. They looked more like loyal coworkers through and through. Even their "soft" scenes were painful to watch, like they were forced to do it and they just couldn't care.
The pacing was very much disconnected as well. A case that could drag 5 episode is a no go for me, especially when they're just trying so hard to do many twists and turns that seem so pointless yet I understood they were important to their investigation but it was a no for me.
The suspense about keeping Li Pei Yi from remembering was kinda emphasized in the first chapter that I thought it would be a mind blowing reveal and something crazy happened but nah, so it was definitely blown out of proportion.
I really won't remember this in the coming months. I don't think it'll be the kind of a cdrama that will stay with me for a long time.
The premise was actually promising but I struggled through episode 2. I had to fast forward so many scenes throughout the whole 10 episodes because they look like fillers, nothing is really happening and they butchered the whole plot and the writing is so bad that they made it look like a wattpad fic from a 5th grader. or better yet, like it was written completely using an AI. What a disappointment.
I'm just rewarching this and I'm actually trying to figure out how it wasn't so popular like other bromance dramas??
And it's actually a new experience watching after reading the book. I read the book after my first watch and here again, watching a few years after reading the book.
Censorship is shit cause we could have gotten the most complex romance between them but it is still good like this.
Wow. I haven't followed a drama so much in a long time since I'm always waiting for it to end then binge watch. This one had me waiting (im)patiently for new episodes. 😭😭😭
There were so many things I liked about this drama. Firstly it's that their misunderstandings and fights didn't take more time to be resolved. They truly wanted the best for each other. Secondly, There's no evil second female lead. What a progress, there's no reason to be misogynistic in every drama by painting other women bad. Thirdly, I loved how there were hardly no betrayals against the emperor and the empress from their court. Different fractions yes, but the people they worked with believed in them. Fourth, I loved how strong Wan Yin is. She can stand for herself and does not necessary hide behind the Emperor.
The drama has few of its flaws but they're hardly there. It's a non-skip drama, a 9/10 for me.
How is it that Cheng Lei can build so much chemistry with his every leading lady? He's so amazing.
So, Art of Sarah was Art of Sarah, the illusion she fed on people to the point of obsession using altar egos. I loved the mystery, and how everything came together at the end with patching up the plot holes.
I absolutely loved how her story was told in real time in different perspectives then you end up getting a better understanding of Sarah Kim.
That was a great suspense because at the end of the day, Who is Sarah Kim?
Why is everyone hating? You compare Anna and Celebrity with this one while in Romcom, they keep repeating the same storyline over and over yet no one complains. 3 thriller that sit on one table over 100 CEO romcoms.
The stories are completely different, just because they highlight the luxurious brand and lifestyle it doesn't mean they're the same. The dislike kinda looks forced.
I feel like we deserved more episodes. 10 was just too little.
I've seen people saying all the 3 main characters were a red flag but honestly, only Koh was a redflag to me since he kept being a certified ass.
Peem was not a redflag, he was just strung along and kept getting the wrong idea because Jira was making him believe they had a chance together. Though I don't think he ever fell in love with Jira, he wanted to make him emotionally dependent on him (considering how he told that barman that he wishes Jira can constantly fall apart just so he can go back to him) he became intrigued more with him because Jira was able to say no to Koh most of the time, something Pheem was not able to do.
On the other hand, Jira was nothing more than a victim of circumstances. I think he just cuffed himself on Koh and made himself feel special because the biggest jerk was into him. He's been struggling with his art and finally, he finds his muse. One of the reason why I didn't believe he truly loved Koh, I felt like he admired him like how an artist would admire his muse. He was drawn to what Koh gives to him. The real inspiration of art. Never love.
Koh was a narcissist ass who thinks the world orbits around him that I have no other words to say about him.
This is that one Bl where I wished everyone can and up single. Give us the red flags and give us correctly, and the chemistry between Offgun this time was off, and Gun had intense chemistry with Dew. Dew even had chemistry with AJ.
Overall, this has its people. It gave me Only Friends vibe cause no one was perfect, each character was flawed in their own way and that is just what we needed.
Don’t spread any fake news here🙄.The twins never said they were in a romantic relationship. They meant that…
Delete your whole trend of your comment if you think I'm coming for you, in which I was not sweetheart. I replied because you were still talking about clouts and engagements regardless of others explanations, thus why I was politely trying to explain that it's not what you think it is. Me referring to how people are determined to believe the rumors is not directed at you but people who choose to believe them regardless of being told that those are false accusations.
Most people pass here before watching a drama, now we didn't want any more misinformation now did we...
Don’t spread any fake news here🙄.The twins never said they were in a romantic relationship. They meant that…
They're literally not playing into the rumors though. Some people are just not used to platonic friendship/ sisterhood but that is their own problem. I don't stan NJ but they never chase clout which is why even when they're with D4, they're always wearing mask and hats that covers half of their faces. And when they're traveling somewhere, most of the time they travel separately from them (in airports)
If they were chasing clout, they would definitely chase it much better than what they have been doing. So refrain from spreading rumors, let people believe what they want to believe too. There's never changing a determined mind, which is why these rumors are constantly spreading.
The premise of this is actually amazing but I think the writers were too lazy. The case was dragged on without any logic and any reason but just because. It's like they were throwing everything together to make a series and whatever works for them works. No story depth, unnecessary ghosts who make you the characters scream just for a second, wtf background of the main cast, messy plot twists,... it's like they were trying too hard. The world building was weak.
Really, the story is good. But they could have done more for a police ghost horror kind of plot. I expected them to twist my mind until I'm left asking myself "WTF HAPPENED " so yeah... lazy writers.
My journey to you - grey characterBlosson adversity- kinda 'autistic"
I'm not talking about different genres. Yes, different characters but the atmosphere around the characters feel the same. (or maybe it's the way she speaks. idk.) she's still a good actress though.
The drama was chill and just good. It seems like Morden Cdramas have been so good this past year.
Lu Yuxiao build the most craziest chemistry with her male lead, i love to see it. Though I honestly hope they'll give her different roles (I don't know how) cause it feels like she's been acting the same throughout her dramas, safe to say the ones I've seen her in. Same aura with different characters, both modern and historical.
Oh I love Neo so much but I'm struggling to go past the fifth episode.
I know I'm not over Glory yet but everyone has been praising this so I was looking forward to binge watch however, I've just finished episode 4 and nothing has captured me yet. I'm slowly losing hope but I'm considering to continue and see if my perspective will change or not.
I've truly enjoyed this but i got terribly lost in plot after episode 12. I knew what was going but it felt very disconnected ( maybe I shouldn't have binge watched) but yeah... i found it's also draining cause of the angst they shoved in the last episodes but I'm still glad I watched it.
The chemistry was so intense. The black flagged was intense. Everything here was so intense and I liked it all.
This was really good. This is what romcom is and I'm afraid we don't get that much in BL, instead, most of them are just cringe. With the clips I've seen of this before watching, I thought it was just overhyped and didn't have high expectations. But I was truly left wanting more...
I laughed from the first episode and loved every single character (apart from PerthSanta cause I don't like Perth's acting so far. I'm failing to see the chemistry between him and Santa.)
And I admit, I fast forwarded half of Thamepo but lord! The way WilliamEst have so much chemistry with only their gaze locked on each other, it makes me want to see them in multiple BLs nonstop.
And obviously, pondphuwin carried (As they should). Now I don't think anyone else would have made a perfect Thee and Peach apart from these two. What an excellent performance!!!! 👏

They should give us more thriller if they're gonna make us grimace in dislike with lots of plot holes and nothing logical.

GMMTV peaked with this series.
