On Can This Love Be Translated? Jan 21, 2026
This drama is just beautiful. It isn't exactly about Interpretation. It's like "I can speak different languages but I cannot translate your love" kind of a drama. They were speaking a different kind of love and they had to translate each other's love to find the same understanding.

I love loved the SML but we should admit that Jung Ho Jin was perfet for her. Man was able to learn her inside and outside, while Hiro knew and fell in love with the facade she put on.

(This makes so much sense in my mind than it does in writing. 😭)

The chemistry, the storyline, the romance, the leads... it was so good. Everything was good, nothing cringe worthy.

Listen, we've watched so many bad romcoms already which people loved but if we were honest enough, we could have admitted that they were bad.

This one...? I was really expecting something so bad after reading the comments but no, y'all are hating and exaggerating too much.

This was not an absolute 10/10 but it was very good and I enjoy it so much. An honest 8.5/10 can do. It was warm and cozy, despite some of its heavy topics. The chemistry between the leads was good, and I'm glad we were not dealing with another cliché kdrama tropes.

It's a good watch. But we could have gotten a different ending. With how slow they kept developing their relationship, with that much push and pull, we deserved a very much satisfying ending.

I've just realized that half of the characters here were scheming, cunning and just evil but everyone got a redemption arc which was so annoying at times. There was barely any justice and believable sincerity, they just turned over a new leaf abruptly.

Done and dusted.

I admit, I was intrigued from the first episode but the story went downhill after Madam Yan case, then it picked up after they went to the capital.

I have some dislikes towards the characters and I think I've yelled a lot throughout the drama so I'll not repeat myself.
Despite its flaws, I think this was one of the best dramas I've watched. And I rarely watch ongoing dramas unless they're worth my time and patience.

All the actors were good, including Nezer (who I don't follow her dramas because of her stoic acting and failure to build chemistry with her leading men) but surprisingly, her chemistry with Neo was not even questionable. They fitted perfectly together.

Women power. Whatever Women did in this series (apart from the grandmother) I say yes to it! This was awesome 👌

I'm on episode 32 and when that madame from the Duke household kept on preaching by being obedient and submissive to men (their husband), i was like "they really don't know who they're talking to." cause they definitely ain't talking about the young Miss of the Rong family who was raised to hold more power than men.

That's one thing I applause about the Rong family and I wish we were taught like that growing up. I'm sure women wouldn't have to take so much bullsh*t from men. Oh how I love girl's power!!

We've had women who are well written in cdramas so there's nothing wrong to admit that RSB was not that well written. Her scheming has a lot of plot holes with them trying to keep the audience in the dark and suddenly, the odds are in her favor. They keep letting us piece the puzzles with an "OMG" in the end, it would have been better if they made us understand her tactics. But no, everything looks like a coincidence with her.

When you're writing a character, give us the reason why we show care. Keeping us in suspense by playing around a storyline is not difficult. But here, they focus on a certain arc then make their solution feels like luck then the process keeps on repeating with different cases.

So misogyny aside. We've had Princess Gambit, Prisoner of Beauty, The Glory... those were written very well. Of course we were not looking for the same storyline as the other dramas, but if you're going to write a cold, scheming woman who is smart, give them an aura and let us feel her.
Don't make it seem like she's God's favorite(by always relying on luck), let us see her scheming.

(I haven't been so invested in a drama in a long while so I'll always give my honest opinion. I really like this drama so I'll def not sugarcoat just because I love it lmao 😭 Somethings are frustrating. )

This drama has been so good, but as it nears the end, it gets disappointing somehow. They've done well writing the characters but they're not so great that they would stay with you.

RSB character is strong and dominant character yet sometimes I easily question her decisions cause they feel so stupid. It's like her wit and scheming have no depth but they write around plot holes just to make her become one step ahead of everyone.

And where's the LJL we saw in the first episodes? I know I expected some great imperial official, not someone who becomes stupid the second he falls in love. they kept calling him scheming, but he's been so deceived by so many things that it sounds so cringe to call him such.

And I just hate how RSB went from following her own values to go back crawling to that evil grandmother while they try to give this grandma some pity background and want us to feel sorry for her.

With how scheming the sisters have been, it's exhausting to see how they're giving them some weak redemption arcs.

We're 6 episodes from the finale, and while it's so good, really... I'll forget the characters as soon as I find another good drama to watch. Their "strong" characters are not strong at all.

Debating on whether to start this on now. It's hard for me to watch dramas where sisters fight. Do they fight…
In the current episodes, some of them are starting to get along but I believe they'll all get along eventually.

It's high time the sisters work together against Grandma "values" (something I'm hoping to see in the coming episodes) Oh I loved RSB today! Yes to girl's power!!!

She's strong minded and determined. Even though she has made some wrong judgements and stuff which shows she's only human, I just love how strong she is. she's no nonsense girl.

Even though she's losing her spot in the Rong family, her dominance has never wavered.

remember that SB also did cast her brother out from the family. What goes around comes around. 5th sister will…
RSB casted his brother out not because he was innocent, he was selfish. He was plotting against her from the start.

Unless necessary, RSB is always plotting to protect the Rong family, not to go against them.

The grandmother is definitely not a good person. She's so controlling and manipulating, living by these values of the Rong family by turning the sisters against each other instead of teaching them to work together as siblings.
She hates all of the sisters, always showing favoritism by who pleased her the most every time and making the others feel worthless. Hating over someone who has been building that family just because of something so trivial.

That Yun Shu sister is so cunning and annoying, they deserve each other with the grandmother. A silent snake hissing behind closed doors, yikes!

Rong Shan Bao has no other identity other than being "Miss Rong" which is just so sad. Showing just how lonely and how hard she has to live pleasing the Rong family instead of living her own life. She really has a sad life indeed, but I hope she'll finally follow her own values instead of the Rong family and find happiness. She deserves so much after so much pressure.

Every character is so frustrating today.

Considering how well RSB treats madam Yang, it's understandable that he didn't tell her since they both don't exactly trust each other despite their feelings.

And RSB feelings are so valid cause hell, he left him at the altar. He's smart, there wasn't anything to prevent her from this humiliation?

They lack communication and trust so bad, their marriage in this episode would have been doomed. I still love them though, my chaotic couple.😫

I haven't liked any Gulnezer's roles until now, I think it's the first time watching her have this much chemistry with her male lead And her acting is so much better here and she's just so pretty.

Whatever Hou Minghao is on... I'll definitely watch. He's such a wonderful actor, I can't get enough.

Spotted Richard Li. He's so gorgeous!

So far, the story is worth watching. I really cannot wait for more episodes.

I don't even know what I expected, but clearly not something as mid as this. It was so corny and cringe (that rich villain girl was so cringe, at least Chae Min gave us a better villain character)They have great actors, but the plot was really not giving anything. I got annoyed by the male lead from the beginning to the end, the female lead was close by. The couple were like platonic bestie instead of lovers, and who the hell though making this series was a good idea??? They be doing just anything these days.

I hope they make a second movie to this because the ending was so abrupt that it caught me off guard. I heard it's the slowest burn yes but I expected to see more of their romance but they had to make it feel unconnected despite their chemistry.

Regardless, this was worth the wait. They dance so beautiful and it's just amazing how they dance even more beautiful and amazing together than when they're with other partners. The difference was very well done.

And their practices? the tension? oh please, they just got it so right like that is what I wanted to see. Overall, it's worth watching.

It had so much potential. But since I'm more used to the found family and coming of age tropes in cdramas (which are usually developed perfectly) so this one gave me a meh feeling. it's like they dumped everything together from episode 6 and started including the cliche storylines every kdrama have but with different twists. The mother-daughter dynamic with SJH was unnecessary, the revenge storyline was unnecessary too, the whole Miss Korea rivals was worse, the love triangle was... I don't understand how I survived all that. I just loved the girls-girls storyline which is the only reason I stayed and watched everything.

They're good actors and the chemistry is fire, they really delivered. But the storyline overall is 👎🏽 and their romance was just dry, they tried to include yearning and “I'd burn the world for you” trope when she was arrested but it didn't even help. She knows too much for my liking as well, and she remembered everything in history? (They fictionalized it yes) but it because so annoyingly boring. The food flying over the background was overrated, and the villains were definitely not giving. He was a tyrant but he suddenly turned into a softie from the first episode (Red flags should be red flags, not washed up red flags) or else they shouldn't make it as an important factor in the storyline. Did they think him becoming insane for that short period of time near the end make him a tyrant?

This story was an overall 3/10 for me. I had high expectations and it left me with disappointment.
