What happens when the governor's daughter want to snatch husband from Lu Songli, after he saved her from bandits?
She makes the rumours about her getting defiled by them, and then makes his father lose his governor position by her scheming... to promote her own father.
Great rant.I really enjoyed Blossom (and there are some episodes which I repeat), ,but to be precise, some of…
For example, they are a bit of "enemies to lovers", as if not for the female Lead's brilliance, she and her friends would be killed by the ML in Episode 5 (great episode, btw). And it took them a while to trust each other fully (which is of course natural)
I’m on Episode 29, and the whole conflict erupting so easily in the house after Miao An Su and Song Han’s…
To be fair to the writers, the FL's maid, at least one of them, was consistently dumb/rash through the whole drama.
And the FL was perfectly aware of the ML's brother schemings against her naive/in-love friend. Should she done more? Maybe, but it's not easy against the Empress decreed marriage.
People keep calling Blossom overrated—yeah, sure, let’s go with that.Of course it’s “overrated” because…

I do get the hype about this drama but fot me personally there are too many unlikable characters and the few characters…
I feel like pretty much every historical costume drama ends with rebellion. which is super repetitive. And obviously, politics/palace drama leads it there.
At least the rebellion in Blossom was extremely nicely done, definitely one of my favourites. For comparison. I disliked the ones in"Ming Lan" and "Yanxi", especially the latter.
Depends on what you like, I guess. If you literally expect "Legend of the Female General", then you can be quite disappointed. But, if you are okay with the "Romance of the Female Soldier" then it's pretty good.
No Romance tag? Does it mean the female lead won't need to be saved multiple times by the ML, like the one in Princess Weiyoung? Sometimes twice in one episode, lol? :) I'm in (maybe).
PS. Apparently, Princess Weiyoung was more formidable in the novel, but didn't have a chance to read it.
For a while, I couldn't figure out why the female lead's looks and mannerisms seemed so familiar. I finally realised, the actress playing her (Bao Shang En) does it in a very similar way to He Yan - it didn't work for the latter, as it didn't seem general-like enough for me, but actually works well for the mischievous, clever and bubbly Huang Rong.
💯 agree. Where were all of the Marquis' fight scenes? They really failed to develop his character... hard to…
Well, both shows were supposed to be strongly fl-centric and only "Pursuit of Jade" did it properly, giwing the fl chance to achieve success on her own without getting constantly rescued by the ML.
And there was not much to develop with Marquis, as he was already terrtyfyingly skilled when the drama started, and showed it when had a chance to fight in various situations (including sparring against the female lead, using only one hand against her).
Good watch, other than the FL would have been dead several times without being saved by someone else. Story would…
Your comment makes me 50-50 regarding watching it, as I typically dislike shows where the FL needs to be rescued a lot. But she seems quite smart and capable in some clips I've seen.

You can add me to team Evil :)
Also, it reminded me what my favourite heroine Lu Songli did when one highly-ranked woman wanted to snatch her husband :)

Ugh, I hate Kuaikan International so, so much!!!
If yes, any idea about a title? Don't see it on Chinese websites.
