Do you know why they are re shooting it ? I thought they already wrapped up months ago
Yes honestly if I didn't read the novel before this drama I would have given up long ago. Everything feels messy.…
Sorry for answering so late! No actually I find their relationship not that toxic in the novel! The show really accentuates this push and pull relationship with lots of misunderstandings. In the novel she did left him so that he won't commit the same mistakes as his ancestors but as you read it you can feel that she just had no choice and it was out of love for him and not because she hated his manipulative side. She didn't want to leave but it was the only way to wake him up. Btw he is not that manipulative in the novel! And right from the beginning of the novel their dynamic is completely different they go from not liking each other and bickering to friends and allies who support each other to lovers with a deep loyalty to each other! That's why their relationship feels more like a Romeo and Juliet in the book cause their lovestory is more developped and well built !
I love finding comments like these from those who read the novel first. It's the first time an adaptation is done…
Just watched ep 15 and thought of you 🤭 you got THAT scene they are so cute omg I'm even regretting that we're soon past that period of lovey dovey marriage
I loooove how Yang Zi's carreer is taking a new turn with mainly female centric stories and deep meaningful scripts that shake your soul! She is made for those kind of roles!! That trailer just broke me I know I'm gonna sob even more than with Born to be alive. I gotta keep working on my mandarin chinese so that when this comes out I will watch it without any subtitles 🫠

This is going downhill. In a good script not only character but also relationship development is important. One…
Yes honestly if I didn't read the novel before this drama I would have given up long ago. Everything feels messy. It's like they wanted to talk about everything without actually following the timeline of the book. Even though I already know the story, the drama is still giving me headaches 😮💨 Anyway I really recommend reading the novel cause the characters are much more interesting there and everything makes more sense!
We will get that in few days Otherwise johnny huang drama actually perform well in china Keep in mind douban is…
Thank u sm !! I'm glad it's doing well it's one of those dramas where I didn't have many anticipations about and yet it completely blew me away! I still can't get over it
The directors really respected the original work. The scenes and the atmosphere are so close to the novel it’s…
Exactly ! The way the promo and the trailers of G to G completely misled me, didn't help at all. I had such high expectations for this adaptation cause the casting was so good 😮💨 i'm still trying to finish it and even though the editing got better with the later episodes, the story still feels too messy. If I didn't read it before I'm not sure I would have been able to follow the majority of the story. Such a shame cause this novel is one of my favourite. But for this one I think we can be thankful that one of the directors is the same as Blossom. That explains why we have such cozy atmosphere and beautiful scenes with snow. He really knows how to deliver such unique cinematography of high quality! I never thought I would say this one day but I'm even loving it more than the novel 😅 I can't wait to see my favourites scenes on screen omgg

I 100% agree. Everything until now is on point. Nothing feels rushed or out of place which is soo rare. I need their team to do every future adaptation cause their work is amazing! The cinematography is wonderful too omg 😭
That took me by such a pleasant surprise it truly feels like I'm reading the novel again.
Yees soo true!! After being disappointed by Generation to Generation I was scared that it would be the same. I'm so grateful to the scriptwriters and the directors for giving justice to this novel!
Does someone know the planning for this week's episodes ? I can't find it in the images section. I want to know when it ends so that I can prepare myself mentally 🥲
I feel sorry for saying that but I find Fei Ting a bit too lazy. I always try to understand every personality and I know he is not in his comfort zone with that work but still I feel like he could push himself a bit more rather than automatically relying on his sister... Saying "I can't do that in 1 week" when he was complaining how he had nothing to do before is kinda spoiled attitude when you know you're already privileged by having that position.
The actress who plays Fei Ni's mother always makes me think of Xu Ruohan. Idk why I always tell myself when I see her that they have the same type of beauty with their eyes and their smile
