Episodes 16 and 17 were such a mix of emotions! If you’re rooting for Rumu’s story as well, you can’t help but feel sad for him. I really don’t like that kind of love, huhuhu.

But I have to say, episode 17 left me so satisfied. Finally, that Jingting (no spoilers, don’t worry!) . I’m just really happy about what happened to him, lol.

Yeah, I really like his personality. I love seeing him just be himself in variety shows or BTS clips from his dramas. He’s so gentle, innocent, and humble, there’s something so pure about the way he carries himself. He doesn’t crave fame or attention, and that makes me admire him even more. I really want to support him from afar, and the best way I can do that is by watching his dramas on legitimate platforms, since I don’t think I’ll be able to buy the products he endorses outside his country. Even so, I’ll always cheer for him quietly from here, hoping he continues to shine in his own gentle way.

No, they’re standalone. They’ll include flashbacks of the important parts from Love in Pavilion, so it’s fine. I haven’t watched LiP yet, but I could still follow the story in the Sword and Beloved just fine.

I just love how we’re all united here, we adore the same characters, despise the same villains, and collectively lose our minds over the same acts of stupidity. 😂

Yeah, one thing I’ve learned from her story is that hatred can cost you your life and cloud your judgment. Like, imagine living 20 years in sadness only to find out your husband was alive all along, lol.

I’ve loved the story from the beginning, and I’m still loving it now (I’m at episode 16).

Today’s episode is a roller coaster of emotions. I’m happy that I didn’t end up hating Madam Yin in the beginning, lol. Maybe it’s because her hatred comes from losing her husband.

Seeing them work together and just be with each other, without any unnecessary misunderstandings in every episode, already gives me so much satisfaction. At this point, I don’t even care how it ends, whether it’s sad or happy. My heart is already full. Who cares about a few minutes of sadness when we got 35 episodes of pure happiness? 😂💖 But still… my heart can’t help but hope for a happy ending, lol.

I’ve watched this drama twice already, and it still hits differently every time. Some people say the female lead is annoying because she keeps calling the male lead’s name “Si Feng”, but honestly, I find it sweet! I mean, who wouldn’t want someone to call their name like that whenever they’re in danger? 😂 And let’s be real, only Si Feng can truly unlock her power whenever he’s in danger. Their bond is just that special. 💖

This was my first Cheng Yi drama, and it completely won me over. It’s the show that made me binge-watch all his other works, and now I’m eagerly waiting for everything else he’s in! Mysterious Lotus Casebook is truly a masterpiece. Every moment is worth watching, and I know I’ll definitely be rewatching it again (right after Sword and Beloved, lol).

I started this earlier but had to pause because of Journey of Legend. After that, I couldn’t find the time to continue since I just got busy at work. And now, I needed to prioritize Sword and Beloved. Today I’ve forgotten which episode I was on after accidentally restarting it, so I’ll be starting over.

I’ve been following this drama since it started airing, and I finally got the chance to write my review! Just wanted to drop a quick comment here too.

The Journey of Legend is such an enjoyable watch! What really stands out are the martial arts scenes — every episode has exciting, well-choreographed fights that are delivered with great energy and emotion. Cheng Yi does an amazing job bringing the action and drama to life. If you love wuxia and martial arts stories, this one is definitely worth watching! 💥
